By Train:
- Nearest Railway Stations:
- Rishikesh Railway Station: About 216 km from Gaurikund.
- Haridwar Railway Station: About 242 km from Gaurikund.
- Dehradun Railway Station: About 270 km from Gaurikund.
- From the Station: From any of these railway stations, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to reach Gaurikund.
By Road:
- Direct Buses: There are direct buses to Gaurikund from major cities like Rishikesh, Haridwar, Dehradun, and Delhi. Private taxis are also available.
- Driving: If you're driving, you can take the NH 58 route, which passes through Rishikesh, Devprayag, Srinagar, Rudraprayag, and finally to Gaurikund.
From Gaurikund to Kedarnath:
- Trekking: The trek from Gaurikund to Kedarnath is about 16 km. It's a steep and challenging trek, so be prepared with proper gear and physical fitness.
- Helicopter Services: Helicopter services are available from Phata, Sirsi, and Guptkashi to Kedarnath. It's a quicker and more comfortable option, especially for those who might find the trek challenging.
