HOW TO REACH

Reaching Nainital is relatively straightforward, with several options depending on your starting point and preference. Here’s how you can get there:

1. By Air

• Nearest Airport: The closest airport to Nainital is Pantnagar Airport (PGH), located about 70 km (43 miles) away.
• From Pantnagar: You can hire a taxi or take a bus from Pantnagar to Nainital. The drive takes around 2-3 hours.
• Alternative Airports: You can also fly into Dehradun’s Jolly Grant Airport (DED) or New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) and then travel to Nainital by road.

2. By Train

• Nearest Railway Stations:
  • Kathgodam: The closest major railway station to Nainital is Kathgodam, located about 34 km (21 miles) away.
  • Haldwani: Haldwani is another nearby station, about 45 km (28 miles) from Nainital.
• From Kathgodam/Haldwani: You can take a taxi or a bus from the railway station to Nainital. The journey by road takes approximately 1-2 hours.

3. By Road

• By Car: Nainital is well-connected by road. You can drive from major cities like Delhi, Dehradun, or Haldwani. The roads are generally in good condition, but the drive involves some winding hill roads.
  • From Delhi: Approximately 300 km (186 miles), taking around 7-8 hours.
  • From Dehradun: Approximately 270 km (168 miles), taking around 6-7 hours.
  • From Haldwani: Approximately 45 km (28 miles), taking around 1-2 hours.
• By Bus: Several state-run and private bus services operate between major cities and Nainital. You can take a bus from cities like Delhi, Dehradun, or Haldwani. The journey can vary from 6 to 10 hours depending on the starting point.

4. By Shared Taxi or Cab

• Shared Taxis: These are available from major cities and can be a convenient option if you prefer a more comfortable and direct route. They are especially common from Kathgodam and Haldwani.

Tips for Travel:

• Booking in Advance: It’s advisable to book your transportation in advance, especially during peak tourist seasons.
• Weather Conditions: Be mindful of weather conditions, particularly during the monsoon season, as landslides can occasionally affect road travel.

👉 If cancellation is made 30 days or more before the Date of Travel, 25% of the total Booking Cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
● 👉 If cancellation is made between 29 days to 16 days before the date of travel, 50% of the total Booking Cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
● 👉 If cancellation is made between 7 days to 15 days before the date of travel, 80% of the total Booking Cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
● 👉 If cancellation is made within 7 days before the date of travel, the total booking cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
● 👉 If payment is not made as per the schedule provided in the first booking confirmation Email, Sky Hike reserves the right to cancel the booking after attempting to get in touch with you. Refunds would be as per the package Cancellation policy.
● 👉 Transfer your Trek/Trip (any Trek/Trip, within 2 months of your Date of Travel) to your friend before 15 days of your Date of Travel.
● 👉 70% cash voucher in the form of 'HikeCoin' for any other Trip/Trek for one year, If we are informed before 20 days of the date of travel. (1 Rupees = 10 HikeCoin)
● 👉 80% cash voucher in the form of 'HikeCoin' for the same Trip/Trek for one year. If we are informed before 20 days of the date of travel. (1 Rupees = 10 HikeCoin)
● 👉 The applicable refund amount will be processed within 10 business days.
Cancelation & Refund Policy

Terms and Conditions

👉 While entering passenger names during the booking process, Do ensure that they exactly match the names on the travel documents (e.g. Aadhar Crad/PAN card/ Passport/Voter ID card/Any Identity Card) that you will be carrying for the Trip/Trek.
● 👉 The passenger names in the booking form should be exactly as per Adhar Card. Sky Hike will not bear any liability for the name change fee if incorrect names and ages have been added at the time of booking.
● 👉 In case your package needs to be canceled due to any natural calamity, weather conditions, etc. SkyHike reserves the right to deny a refund request in the event of a disaster, depending on the nature of the disaster and its impact on the organization.
● 👉 Sky Hike reserves the right to modify the itinerary at any point, due to reasons including but not limited to Force Majeure events, strikes, fairs, festivals, weather conditions, traffic problems, cancellation rescheduling, closure of /entry restrictions at a place of visit, etc. While we will do our best to make suitable alternate arrangements, we will not be held liable for any refunds/compensation claims arising out of this.
