Spread over more than 600 sq. km, Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve is one of the major National Parks in Maharashtra, and one of the upcoming wildlife hotspots in India. Located in the wildlife-rich region of central India, this teak-covered forest is a perfect hiding hole for the world’s largest big cat. The Kolsa range of this tiger reserve is well known for its beautiful dense forest cover and majestic landscapes. Once accessible from other parts of the jungle, now this zone needs to be visited separately from a different village. The best part of it is that only a handful of vehicles are allowed for safari in this part of the forest, thus, making the safaris an exclusive and peaceful affair.
This flourishing ecosystem also supports the Gond tribal community, one of Maharashtra’s many tribes. To give you a more hands-on, rustic experience, we will spend quality time with the locals living in villages close to the sanctuary, getting to know the nitty-gritties of their lives. Through our interactions with them, we will make new friends and gain valuable insight into their lives as we sit under a starlit sky, enthralled by their stories. They have the most astonishing jungle experience to narrate, for the jungle that we all love so much, is their home!

Co-founder and instructor at Footloose Journey, Paresh is a Naturalist! He believes that travelling or experiencing new places is not complete unless and until the local communities are understood, even lived. He strives to introduce everyone around him to the way of living of the inhabitants of the places. With his dare-devil attitude and jocularity, he is the life of the team! Having him around on expeditions is a time spent in mirth and wonder. Wildlife Photographer | Developing community oriented tourism models at various destinations in India. | People & conservation.

One of the first volunteers of the team. An avid nature lover, his keen interest in the natural world has taken him to some of the most remote places in India at a very young age. He has chosen environmental studies as his academic interest as well. He regularly volunteers with researchers and even regional Forest Departments for conservation related studies and surveys. Travelling has earned him quiet a handful of knowledge, and that shows on the camps! Since he loves to connect with people, he makes sure that he makes close friends wherever he travels!

Best in class. Always a delight to travel with them as trips are very well planned and managed. The eco tourism experience offered is really unique and takes you closer to nature. Budget friendly with really good resorts, great food choices and amazing safaris. The team is very knowledgeable on various aspects of jungles and make sure that your experience is totally worth it.
It was my very first experience into the raw jungle and my decision to explore Tadoba with Footloose Journeys was truly beautiful! The entire trip was very well organised and wasn't disappointed at any point of time. The crew (Paresh, our guides, drivers) were very interactive and kept enlightening us about the stories of the jungle. Awaiting for the next journey :) 🐾
We had an amazing time with Paresh and his team! I was in a group of ten law students and two professors and the Footloose team tailored the trip to our interests (environmental law, policy, and endangered species protection and conservation). We met with a top tiger conservationist and learned about efforts to protect tiger habitat in central India. We stayed in a stunning resort for two days just outside Kahna National Park and took several beautiful rides through the park and saw some incredible wildlife. Footloose also arranged for us to meet with some of the people who were displaced when the park was formed so we could learn about their way of life and how they work to protect the forest. I definitely recommend planning a trip with Footloose Journeys. They are very responsive and easy to work with.
Thank you Footloose for arranging an excellent trip to Nagzira camp. Everything went very well and I had a great time.It was amazing to watch stars at night and hear Owl calls throught the camp. Great personalised tour , keep it up !
Thank you very much Paresh & Ameya. We really enjoyed our first jungle safari. They really managed each and everything right from picking up from Nagpur airport. We really enjoyed the hospitality and the experience they have. I wish Footloose Journeys all the very best and looking forward to many more jungle safaris with them.
