Valley of flowers in the month of August is beautiful. Now a UNESCO World Heritage site, the valley of flowers is home to endemic alpine flowers such as blue poppy and brahma kamal and is a paradise for botanist and nature lovers. So if you haven’t planned a trek to Valley of Flowers yet, get down right at it. Here are some reason why you should definitely trek to Valley of Flowers :
1) Perfect for beginners: The Valley of Flowers trek is perfect for beginners. The trail is well paved, the distances short with several tea stalls and eateries on the way.
2) Comfortable Trek: Unlike other treks, you will be staying in proper guest houses with proper bathroom facilities. It makes the trek to valley of flowers very comfortable for first time trekkers
3)Beautiful views: The valley itself is beautiful. The blooming of flowers in never guaranteed ( it is a natural phenomenon) but the valley itself makes up for it. One side of the valley tall cliffs climb to the sky, the other side is guided by snow clad mountains. The serene Pushpavati river glides through the middle of the valley and at the end of this 8km stretch of valley, you see a glacier that feeds the river. 4)Hemkund Sahib Trek: Apart from the Valley of Flowers, you can trek to the highest Gurudwara in the world, Hemkund Sahib. Surrounded by 7 beautiful peaks, Hemkund Sahib is located at shore of Hemkund lake. This lake is acknowledged for washing away the sins of mankind.
5)A perfect monsoon trek: Valley of flowers is one of the few treks that is done in the monsoons. Infact, the valley looks the best during the monsoon
