Goecha La

About This Place

Goecha La is situated in the lap of Kancunjunga Ranges, near the Indo-Nepal border.
What makes this trek unique apart from its distinctive geographical location is that, it gives a view of 14 mountain peaks including the mighty Mt. Kanchenjunga , the third highest peak in the world.
The complete trail is romantically beautiful as the trail passes through the canopy of red rhododendrons , crystal clear waters and snow led passes.
Attractions include view of Mt. Pandlm, Mt. Tenzinkhay, Mt. Frey Peak, Kumbakarana, Rathong, Kabru South, Kabru North, Kabru Dome, Mt. Kanchenjunga Jupono, Pandim, Simro Samiti lake.

Note : For foreigners, the govt. of Sikkim requires that they need to have special permits for trekking and entering Sikkim. One should check out for that.
