Policy and Terms
Our cancellation policy is designed to be as fair as possible to our guests while accounting for our preparations. Here are the details:
If you choose to cancel your booking 15 days or more prior to your travel date, please note that 50% of the total tour cost will be retained as cancellation fees. This is to account for the resources allocated for your trek.
For cancellations made between 7 to 15 days before the travel date, 75% of the total tour cost will be applicable as cancellation charges. This higher fee considers the closer proximity to the trek date and the likelihood of filling the vacated slot.
Should you need to cancel your trek within a week of your travel date, i.e., 0 to 7 days prior, please be informed that the full 100% of the total tour cost will be levied as cancellation fees. The reason for this is that it becomes extremely challenging for us to accommodate others in such a short time.

All content created during the trip, including photos and videos taken by Backpackers United or participants, are the property of Backpackers United. These may be used for promotional purposes and cannot be commercially used by anyone else without our explicit permission.
Full payment must be made prior to the trip. Failure to do so may result in cancellation.
A valid government-issued ID is required for all travelers and will be verified before boarding. Transfers of bookings are not permitted.
For international travel, ensure your passport is valid for at least six months from your travel date. Any costs arising from non-compliance will be borne by the traveler.
Unused inclusions will not be refunded.
Travelers are responsible for their luggage and belongings. We are not liable for any damage or missing items.
Arrive at the pickup point 30 minutes before departure. Please note, AC will be off in the hills and may be turned off during the trip for safety reasons.
Smoking and drinking are prohibited during the tour. Be prepared for physically demanding activities.
We are not responsible for accidents, injuries, illness, loss, damage, or any claims not caused by Backpackers United's employees.
Misconduct or indiscipline will not be tolerated.
We hold no responsibility for delays or alterations due to uncontrollable factors such as natural hazards, political issues, or weather conditions.
We do not provide insurance for sickness, accidents, or theft.
The itinerary may be adjusted considering safety, comfort, and participants' physical abilities.
