Annapurna Base Camp trek is one of Nepal’s most classic short treks, this route takes you to the foot of some of the tallest mountains in the world. Along the way, you’ll spend the night in two famous base camps with close-up views of Annapurna I and Machapuchare.The Annapurna base camp is located at the elevation of 4130m / 13549ft. It is a moderate trek that brings you very close to Annapurna Peak – one of the eight-thousander peaks and it is the first 8000 meter peak to be scaled. Along the trail, you get to see the famous and photogenic Fishtail or Machhapuchre, Annapurna mountain range and Dhaulagiri Peak.

Day 1 - Arrive Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel.

On Day 1, you’ll arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel.
Once you check in, take some time to freshen up with a cup of tea before heading out to visit the Pashupatinath Temple, a revered Hindu site and UNESCO World Heritage location by the Bagmati River.
After exploring the temple and having lunch, return to the hotel for final trek preparations. This includes checking your gear to ensure everything is packed and ready.
Try to get an early night’s sleep to start the trek well-rested.
Day 2 - Journey To Nayapul

Day 2 begins with a wake-up call around 7:30 a.m. After breakfast, head to the Kathmandu Tourism Office to get essential trekking permits, such as TIMS and ACAP, which are required for Annapurna Base Camp.
Following this, you’ll start the journey from Kathmandu to Nayapul by private jeep, a scenic drive through Nepal’s countryside with views of terraced fields and surrounding mountains.
On arrival in Nayapul, check into a guesthouse, unwind, and rest up for the trek's first leg.
Day 3 - Nayapul (1700 m) To Chhomrong (2140 m) Via Ghandruk (1940 m) .

On Day 3, the trek officially begins. Depart from Nayapul (1,700 m) and head towards the village of Ghandruk (1,940 m), an area rich with culture and stunning views of Annapurna South and Machhapuchchhre peaks.
Take a break here for lunch before continuing your ascent toward Chhomrong (2,140 m), a beautiful village with guesthouses and traditional houses overlooking the mountains.
The day’s trekking will take around 6-7 hours before settling into your accommodation for the night.
Day 4 - Chhomrong (2140 m) to Himalaya (2920 m) via Bamboo village (2335 m)

On Day 4, leave Chhomrong and descend to the Chhomrong Khola River, crossing via a suspension bridge and starting a scenic climb through lush rhododendron forests.
Arrive at Bamboo Village (2,335 m) for a brief lunch stop in a serene forested area before continuing the trek.
The path takes you deeper into the dense forest, finally reaching Himalaya (2,920 m) in the evening after 6-7 hours of trekking.
Spend the night in a teahouse at Himalaya, taking in the quiet of this remote area.
Day 5 - Himalaya (2920 m) to Machhapuchchhre base Camp (3700m) via Deurali (3200 m)

Day 5 involves ascending further toward Machhapuchchhre Base Camp.
Leave Himalaya in the morning, passing through forests and waterfalls until you reach Deurali (3,200 m), a quiet village with an incredible view down the valley.
Stop here for lunch before the final climb up to Machhapuchchhre Base Camp (3,700 m), where you'll be surrounded by stunning mountain scenery, including close-up views of Machhapuchchhre and the Annapurna ranges.
After a day of 5-6 hours of trekking, settle into the teahouse here.
Day 6 - Machhapuchchhre base Camp (3700m) to Annapurna Base camp (4130m) & back to Bamboo (2335 m)

Day 6 begins early with a trek from Machhapuchchhre Base Camp to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130 m).
The sunrise views over the surrounding peaks are breathtaking, providing a rewarding sense of accomplishment as you stand at the base of Annapurna’s impressive massif.
After soaking in the views and taking photos, begin the descent back down, eventually returning to Bamboo (2,335 m) for the night.
The entire day of trekking takes about 7-8 hours.
Day 7 - Bamboo (2335 m) , Jhinu (1725 m) Enjoy Hot water Spring Bath . Reach Nayapul

On Day 7, descend from Bamboo toward Jhinu Danda (1,725 m), a beautiful village known for its natural hot springs. Here, enjoy a soothing soak in the hot springs, a perfect way to relax after the challenging trek. After a refreshing break, continue trekking down to Nayapul, completing the Annapurna circuit in about 6-7 hours. Spend the night at Nayapul, resting up after a full day of hiking.
Day 8 - Nayapul To Kathmandu Via Private Vehicle

On Day 8, begin the journey back to Kathmandu. A private vehicle will take you from Nayapul, retracing the scenic route back to the capital.
Once you’re checked into your hotel, the evening is free for relaxing or exploring the local sights and markets of Kathmandu.
This could be a chance to unwind and celebrate the trek’s completion with a well-deserved meal at one of the city’s many restaurants.
Day 9 - Reserve Day

Day 9 serves as a reserve day in Kathmandu, allowing for flexibility in case of delays during the trek or simply to rest and explore.
You could visit iconic sites such as Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Boudhanath Stupa, or Durbar Square, or shop for souvenirs in Thamel’s vibrant market area.
This extra day offers time to reflect on the trek and enjoy the sights of Kathmandu at your own pace.
Day 10 - Fly back to your Home from Tribhuvan International Airport

Bottled water can be purchased at most tea houses and shops along the route. Because of the altitude, it is recommended you drink in the region of 3-4 litres per day, although this can include tea and soup. We recommend using Lifestraw bottle. It will save you a lot of money because the higher you go the higher the prices for the bottled water.
Are there any electricity charging points on this trek?
Most the tea houses on the Everest base Camp trek have charging facility. But you have to pay to avail this facility.
Can I keep extra luggage at Pokhara and collect it from there after the trek?
Yes, there is a facility to keep your extra luggage at Pokhara. You keep it at the hotel where you will be staying.
