  • Kick-off the first day of your Bamikonda and Kalchukki trek with an early morning jeep ride to Kudremukh National Park. Following breakfast, we'll proceed to the base camp to gear up for the trek.
  • The hike to the top of Bamikonda and Kalchukki Peak, covering a distance of approximately 16 KM both ways, will commence by 09:00 AM. Halfway through the journey, we'll pause for a well-deserved lunch break amidst the beauty of nature.
  • Reaching the top, you will be rewarded with the mesmerizing views that the serene Kudremukh peak has to offer. It's truly a sight to behold and a moment to savor.
  • Once we've soaked up the views, we will descend back to the base camp. Here, depending on the weather conditions, we'll gather around a bonfire, sharing stories and experiences of the day.
  • To round off a perfect day of adventure, enjoy a delicious dinner before settling down for a good night's rest, gearing up for the next day's activities.

  • On our way back, we will stop at the Samse Tea Estate to enjoy the sprawling lush greenery and calming tea plantations.
  • By 1:00 PM, we plan to visit the historic Belur Temple, known for its intricate carvings and architecture. After the temple visit, we will head to a nearby restaurant where you can enjoy a self-sponsored lunch.
  • We'll wrap up the journey and head back to Bangalore around 11:00 PM. As you return, you'll carry with you splendid memories of an exciting trek and the mesmerizing beauty of the places visited.

PICKUP LOCATIONS

Here is our cancellation policy for the Bamikonda and Kalchukki trek:

  • If cancellations are made 15 days or more before the date of travel, 50% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • If cancellations are made between 7 to 15 days before the date of travel, 75% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • If cancellations are made 7 days or less before the date of travel, 100% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

Please note that this policy is in place to cover the costs and arrangements that are made in anticipation of your trek.

Below are the terms and conditions for your Bamikonda and Kalchukki trek with Backpackers United:

  • All photos or videos taken during the trip, either by Backpackers United's content creators or clients, are solely owned by Backpackers United. These materials can only be used by the company for promotional purposes. Unauthorized commercial use of the content is not allowed without explicit permission from Backpackers United.
  • Full payment for the trek is required prior to the commencement of the trip. Failure to complete payment may result in trip cancellation.
  • Every traveler must carry a valid government-issued ID for verification before boarding. No one will be allowed to board without proper identification.
  • The transfer of bookings is not permitted. Only those travelers whose names are confirmed at the time of booking will be allowed to join the trip.
  • For international travel, ensure that your passport is valid for at least six months from the date of intended travel and is not damaged. Backpackers United is not responsible for any issues arising from invalid or damaged passports.
  • No refunds will be provided for unused inclusions.
  • Travelers are responsible for their luggage and belongings. Backpackers United does not take responsibility for any damaged or missing items.
  • All travelers must report at the pickup point 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. Please note, the air conditioning may be turned off in hilly areas, and the driver reserves the right to make this decision for safety reasons.
  • Drinking and smoking are strictly prohibited during the tour, as activities like trekking and camping at high altitudes can be physically demanding.
  • Backpackers United will not be held accountable for any accidents, injuries, illnesses, death, loss, or damage of baggage or property, or any other damages or claims that result from negligence or delays by any person not employed by Backpackers United.
  • Any form of misconduct or indiscipline will not be tolerated during the tour.
  • Backpackers United is not liable for any delays or changes to the itinerary due to natural hazards, accidents, weather conditions, landslides, political disturbances, or any unforeseen incidents.
  • Backpackers United does not offer any insurance policies covering sickness, accidents, theft, or other losses.
  • Changes to the itinerary may be necessary due to factors such as weather, road conditions, and participants' physical capabilities, in order to ensure everyone's safety, comfort, and overall well-being.
