Day 1: Arrival – Siliguri/Bagdogra to Phuentsholing to Thimphu

  • Overview: Arrive at Siliguri (NJP) or Bagdogra (IXB) airport, where you’ll be greeted by your guide.
  • Transfer: Travel to Phuentsholing, Bhutan's border town, for immigration formalities. Afterward, begin your scenic journey to Thimphu, Bhutan's capital.
  • Highlights: Enjoy stunning Himalayan views, waterfalls, and a taste of Bhutan’s serene landscapes.
  • Evening: Free time at the Clock Tower and Market area in Thimphu.
  • Overnight: Thimphu

Day 2: Thimphu Sightseeing and Drive to Punakha

  • Morning: Breakfast followed by sightseeing in Thimphu, visiting the giant Buddha Dordenma, Simply Bhutan Museum, and Takin Zoo.
  • Afternoon: Depart for Punakha, Bhutan’s former capital, with a stop at Dochula Pass (3,150 meters) for panoramic Himalayan views.
  • Highlights: Majestic snow-capped mountains, traditional prayer flags, and Punakha's unique landscape.
  • Overnight: Punakha

Day 3: Punakha Sightseeing and Return to Thimphu

  • Morning: Visit the grand Punakha Dzong and the famous suspension bridge.
  • Afternoon: Hike to Chimi Lhakhang (Fertility Temple), a unique monastery known for its blessings for fertility.
  • Evening: Drive back to Thimphu.
  • Overnight: Thimphu

Day 4: Thimphu to Paro Sightseeing

  • Morning: Depart for Paro with stops along the Paro Chu River and Iron Bridge.
  • Afternoon: Explore Paro Dzong, the National Museum, and Paro Market.
  • Highlights: The merging of Paro and Thimphu rivers, views of Paro Airport.
  • Overnight: Paro

Day 5: Paro – Tiger’s Nest Monastery Hike

  • Morning: Start early for a trek to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), perched on a cliff 3,120 meters above sea level.
  • Afternoon: Enjoy views of the monastery and surrounding valleys, learning about the legend of Guru Rinpoche.
  • Overnight: Paro

Day 6: Departure – Paro to Phuentsholing to Bagdogra

  • Morning: After breakfast, return to Phuentsholing, with assistance on exit formalities.
  • Afternoon: Transfer to Bagdogra for your onward journey.

We understand that plans can change. Please review the cancellation policy for this itinerary to ensure a smooth experience if any changes are needed:

  • Cancellations made 30 days or more before the trip start date: Full refund, minus a small processing fee of 10% of the total booking amount.

  • Cancellations made between 15 to 29 days before the trip start date: 50% refund of the total booking amount.

  • Cancellations made within 14 days of the trip start date: No refund, as your booking will have secured various pre-paid experiences.

  • No-shows: No refunds will be issued for no-shows or failure to arrive on the trip start date.

Please note: Refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days from the date of cancellation. If your booking includes any special activities or accommodations, additional cancellation fees may apply per provider policy.

Booking Confirmation

  • A 30% deposit is required to confirm your booking. Some trips may need a higher deposit, communicated at booking.
  • Full payment is due 15 days before departure for domestic and 30 days for international trips. Last-minute bookings within 20 days (domestic) or 45 days (international) require full payment immediately.

Late Payments

  • Failure to pay on time may lead to booking cancellation, retaining the deposit per the cancellation policy. A grace period may apply, subject to availability.

Payment Methods

  • We accept bank transfers, credit/debit cards, and online payment gateways in INR unless specified otherwise.

Cancellation by Client

  • Domestic: 30+ days (30% fee), 15-29 days (50% fee), <15 days (no refund).
  • International: 45+ days (30% fee), 30-44 days (50% fee), <30 days (no refund).

Refund Policy

  • Refunds, if applicable, are processed within 7-10 business days to the original payment method or as a credit note for future bookings.

Non-Refundable Charges

  • Visa fees and certain airfare are non-refundable. Standard cancellation applies for visa rejections.

Triprowers Cancellation

  • Force Majeure: Full refund of the land portion, minus non-recoverable expenses, or a credit note valid for 12 months.
  • Low Group Size: Alternative trip/date offered, or a full refund if not preferred.

Booking Changes

  • Client Changes: Requests must be made 20 days (domestic) or 30 days (international) before departure. Extra charges may apply.
  • Triprowers Changes: Unforeseen changes to the itinerary or accommodation will be communicated promptly, with alternatives provided where possible.

Pricing & Taxes

  • Prices are based on availability and exchange rates, with the final price confirmed upon booking.
  • For international trips over ₹7 lakhs/year, a 20% Tax Collected at Source (TCS) applies, as per Indian law.

Responsibility

  • Clients are responsible for obtaining passports, visas, and travel insurance. Non-adherence to safety guidelines or damaging property will be at the client’s liability.
