Rajgundha is one of the most off-beat treks of Himachal Pradesh. Situated in the Kangra district of Himachal pradesh, Rajgundha Valley is a small and beautiful valley situated beyond Barot in the lap of Dhauladhars. In this tour we have been covering Bir and the quaint village of Barot before finally moving onto the beautiful and colorful valley of Rajgundha.On this trail walk alongside the Uhl river and soak into the beautiful lush green valley of Kangra. From Rajgundha peak enjoy the mesmerizing views of snow capped mountains of Dhauladhar range. Assemble at goSTOPS Bir. At around 8 am, you will be taken to Billing by road and then we start our trek to Rajgundha. Trek of around 12kms will start from Billing as you will experience the breathtakingly beautiful Views of the Dhauladhar Range. Walk alongside the Uhl river to reach the Rajgundha peak and enroute admire the panoramic view of Himachal valleys. Upon reaching the top, spend some at the local cafes of Rajgundha village. After some time, start your trek back to Billing.From here, you will be taken to Bir by road. Drop at goStops Bir and your beautiful day trek will end here.

HOW TO REACH

By Road:- Bir is about ~4 hours from Dharamsala and McLeod Ganj. From Dharamsala, there are direct buses to Bir Road/Upper Bir leaving at 6AM & 2PM from Lower Dharamsala. Or you can take a bus to Palampur, then to Baijnath. By Train :- Overnight train from Delhi. Alight at Pathankot (around 9 to 10 hours). Taxi to Bir - around ~INR 3,000 for the four-hour journey. By Air :- Kangra Airport (DHM IATA) at Gaggal near Kangra is the nearest airport to Bir - roughly a two-hour journey to Bir from there. Air India, Alliance Air, and SpiceJet operate daily flights from Delhi.

  8. Will I get a mobile network on this trek?
    The only mobile networks available in Rajgundha are Airtel and Jio. You will get an intermittent signal on the trek and no signal on Vodafone, Idea, or other networks.
  9. When will there be snow on Rajgundha valley trek?
    You are likely to find snow on this trek in the months of December and January. Rajgundha temperature is a bit cold during winter months so one is advised to carry warm clothes as well as thermals during this time period. 
  10. What will we do if it rains on this trek?
