Morning after breakfast, today we will go to Kedarnath. To reach Kedarnath you will have two options. One if by trekking and other is by Air via Helicopter (at your own cost). We will drop you at Sonprayag and from Sonprayag to Gauri Kund you have to take local taxi (extra cost 50-80) once you reach Gaurikund you can do darshan and snaan and from there your trek starts to Kedarnath. After reaching the Kedarnath visit Kedarnath Temple. Check in to the hotel Overnight stay at Kedarnath.

Things to carry

Clothing:

  • Thermals: Pack thermals like innerwear (top and bottoms), socks, and full sleeves to keep yourself warm in the cold weather- 2 pairs
  • Jacket for Ice n Snow (preferable water proof)
  • Trekking pants: Choose comfortable and breathable trekking pants (3 pairs)
  • Quick-drying T-shirts: Opt for quick-drying T-shirts to wick away sweat (3-4 pairs)
  • Woolen cap, muffler, and gloves: These will keep you warm in the chilly weather
  • Raincoat and waterproof pants: A raincoat and waterproof pants are essential for the unpredictable mountain weather.

Footwear:

  • Trekking shoes: A good pair of lightweight and waterproof trekking shoes with good ankle support is crucial for the trek

Other essentials:

  • Water bottle: Carry a sturdy water bottle or a hydration bladder to stay hydrated throughout the trek
  • Sunglasses and sunscreen: Protect yourself from the sun's harmful rays with sunglasses and sunscreen
  • First-aid kit: Carry a basic first-aid kit to treat minor injuries & Insect repellent
  • Cash: There might be limited options for ATMs on the trek route, so carry enough cash
  • Snacks: Pack plenty of energy-giving snacks like nuts, dry fruits, and chocolate bars
  • Power bank: A power bank to keep your electronic devices charged
  • Walking stick: A walking stick can also provide support on the trek
  • Band aid, Karpoor(Camphor) and Diamox tablets(15 tablets)

Things to avoid carrying:

  • Unnecessary electronics: Avoid carrying electronic devices that you won't need on the trek
  • Too many clothes: Pack only what you need and layer your clothing to stay warm

Keep in mind while Backpacking:

When packing, please do not strap items such as boots, sleeping bags or roll mats to the outside of your bags. There is a good chance that they will be ripped off while in transit. They also make handling the bags more difficult when loading buses on the trek. It is much better to bring a larger bag that is bigenough for all your kit rather than a smallerone onto whichyou have to strap extra equipment

Haridwar is well-connected by all modes of transportation, including flights, trains, and buses. Here's how you can reach Haridwar from anywhere in India:

By Air: Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun DED

Haridwar itself doesn't have an airport. The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun, which is about 52 kilometers away. You can take a flight to Dehradun from major cities in India, and then hire a taxi or cab to reach Haridwar.

By Train: Haridwar Junction Railway Station HW

Haridwar Junction Railway Station is well-connected to major cities across India. Trains are a convenient and budget-friendly option to reach Haridwar. Several express trains connect Haridwar to almost all major cities.

By Bus : Haridwar ISBT

Haridwar is well-connected by buses to major cities and towns in North India. You can take a government or private bus from your starting point to Haridwar. Government buses are generally cheaper, while private buses may offer more amenities.


  • If cancellation is made 30 days or more before the Date of Travel, 25% of total Booking Cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • If cancellation is made between 29 days to 16 days before the date of travel, 50% of total Booking Cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • If cancellation is made between 7 days to 15 days before the date of travel, 80% of total Booking Cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • If cancellation is made within 7 days before the date of travel, total booking cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • If payment is not made as per the schedule provided in the first booking confirmation E-mail, Sky Hike reserves the right to cancel the booking after attempting to get in touch with you.
  • Refunds would be as per the package Cancellation policy. Transfer your Trek/Trip (any Trek/Trip, within 2 month of your Date of Travel) to your friend before 15 days of your Date of Travel.
  • 70%cash voucher in the form of 'HikeCoin' for any other Trip/Trek till one year, If we are informed before 20 days of date of travel. (1 Rupees = 10 HikeCoin)
  • 80%cash voucher in the form of 'HikeCoin' for same Trip/Trek till one year. If we are informed before 20 days of date of travel. (1 Rupees = 10 HikeCoin)
  • The applicable refund amount will be processed within 10 business days.
  • While entering passenger names during the booking process, Do ensure that they exactly match the names on the travel documents (e.g. Aadhar Crad/Pan Card/ Passport/Voter Id card/Any Identity Card) that you will be carrying for the Trip/Trek.
  • The passenger names in the booking form should be exactly as per Adhar Card. Sky Hike will not bear any liability for the name change fee, if incorrect names and ages have been added at the time of booking.
  • In case your package needs to be cancelled due to any natural calamity, weather conditions etc.
  • SkyHike reserves the right to deny a refund request in the event of a disaster, depending on the nature of the disaster and its impact on the organization. Sky Hike reserves the right to modify the itinerary at any point, due to reasons including but not limited to: Force Majeure events, strikes, fairs, festivals, weather conditions, traffic problems, cancellation rescheduling, closure of /entry restrictions at a place of visit, etc. While we will do our best to make suitable alternate arrangements, we would not be held liable for any refunds/compensation claims arising out of this.

PAYMENT & CONFIRMATION POLICY:

  • 100.0% of total Trip/Trek cost will have to be paid 7 days before the Date of Travel. To confirm your Trek/Trip booking, a 30% advance payment is necessary.
  • Once we receive your deposit, we''ll send you a confirmation email with all the details, Invoice & due amount payment date.

CHILD POLICY:

  • We recommend toavoid going to adventure trips with young children below the age of 7 years including Dham Yatra. The Dham Yatra has a demanding itinerary that can be challenging for young children.
  • Children under 5 years old are free of charge. However, Please note that this typically applies to one child per paying adult. Additional children under 5 Y/O may require a separate seat or pay a discounted fare.
  • Children between 6 and 12 years old will be charged 50% of the adult travel cost (per person).
  • Children 13 years and older will be charged the full adult travel cost. Please be sure to provide the accurate age of all traveling children at the time of booking.
  • Documentation proving a child''s age may be required during check-in (e.g., birth certificate, Adhar Card/Passport).
