Chikmagalur has a fascinating story behind its etymology. The literal meaning of the word is ‘the young daughter’s town’ derived from the fact that Chikmagalur was offered as a dowry to the younger daughter of the Chief of Sakrepatna, Rukmangada. Set against the backdrop of the majestic Mullayangir ranges, Chikmagalur also happens to be the ‘Coffee Land of Karnataka’. The serene environment is enriched with tea and coffee plantations, set in the backdrop of captivating cloudy hilltops at an elevation of 3,400 ft. Amidst the hills, away from the commercial and bustling cities, Chikmagalur is the perfect weekend getaway to escape to and be in the laps of nature. Whether you are a thrill enthusiast or a nature lover, there’s always something for you to do in the city. With numerous cascading waterfalls and the rugged terrain, go for a hike or take a dip in the waters, you will have plenty to explore.

Reach the campsite in the morning, freshen up, and have breakfast. Drive to the base of Mullayannagiri, park our vehicles and hike up the hill. Witness amazing views from the highest point of Karnataka, soak in the sun, and trek back to base Lunch will be taken at a local restaurant. (Due to limited options, please choose whatever is available). Go for a Jeep ride to Buttermilk waterfalls and dive into the chilling water. Drive to stunning views of the HireKolale lake, and enjoy the beautiful sunset. Return to the camp, refresh and enjoy a campfire night. Fun, food, and music with long and deep conversations followed by a peaceful slumber.

Wake up, freshen up and have a healthy breakfast. Pack your bags as we’ll explore offbeat places of Chikmagalur today. We have planned a walk along the coffee estate for you, with outdoor games like basketball, volleyball, etc. Then, Head to Private Waterfall named Gupta Gamini which is about 8 Kms from the stay. There are no proper roads or stones that you could see while walking but all you can see is a green carpet on all the sides you turn around. On the way there are lots of private coffee estates which you can run into, a river which is flowing by, small roads where there is no tar instead all green, drizzles dripping on you, fresh air that is not polluted. dive into the chilling water and enjoy the most serene yet most amazing waterfall moment with your newly made friends.
Have Lunch at a local restaurant. Note that food options are limited in this place. Travelers are advised to have whatever local food is available at that time
Then we head to visit Ranganabetta not to be exaggerating, once you are on the rock all you can see is 360 degrees of mountains all around. We will watch the sunset from Ranganabetta and head back to property. Return to the camp, refresh and enjoy a campfire night. Fun, food, and music with long and deep conversations followed by a peaceful slumber.

We have planned a walk along the coffee estate for you, with outdoor games like basketball, volleyball, etc. Check out from the camp, Head to Yagachi reservoir. You may go for boating and other water activities (self-sponsored). Visit the ancient temple of Belur for its architecture. Return journey to Bangalore. We will reach Bangalore by 10:30 PM. (Approx)

A hell of an experience travelling with Tripper trails.I enjoyed every bit of it. I went solo and met some amazing people on the trip.The trip captain, Amit is a nice guy and he makes sure you have a memorable and fun trip. He is also flexible in changing the itinerary a bit if all the travellers agree to it. I have travelled with them twice already and looking for more fun trips. Kudos to the team.

A well coordinated group of Captains leading you all along throughout, ensuring that you enjoy each second of your journey. Even though we went in a group of 3, came back in a group of 20+ taking a lot of good memories to treasure for the rest of our lives😇. Please select your preferred pickup point from the drop-down list while booking. Any change in Pick up locations/ timings would be updated via mail/call 24 hours before the start of the trip. Drop-off points shall be the same as the pick-up points.

Policy and Terms
Cancellation/ Reschedule and Refund Policy:
No refund shall be made with respect to the initial booking amount for any cancellations/reschedule. However,
- If cancellations/reschedule are made 7 days before the start date of the trip, 50% of the trip cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
- If cancellations/reschedule are made 3 days before the start date of the trip, 75% of the trip cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
- If cancellations/reschedule are made within 3 days before the start date of the trip, 100% of the trip cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
- In the case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain activities may be cancelled and in such cases, the operator will try his best to provide an alternate feasible activity. However, no refund will be provided for the same.
Terms and Conditions
The Company shall not be liable for damages/ charges incurred by travelers if any of the following reasons apply:-
- Natural disaster, war, civil unrest, and alteration or cancellation of tour itinerary due to such causes.
- Accidents during transportation or accommodations, damage by fire.
- Orders of either Indian governments or immigration regulations, isolation resulting from infectious diseases, and tour itinerary alteration or cancellation owing to such causes.
- Accidents occurring during the travelers free activities.
- Food poisoning.
- Theft
