By Road: Kohima is well-connected by road. You can take a bus or hire a taxi from nearby cities like Guwahati, Imphal, or Shillong.


2. From Kohima to the Trek Starting Points
Viswema Village: This is the more popular starting point for the trek. Viswema is about 25 km from Kohima. You can hire a taxi or take a shared cab to Viswema Village.


Jakhama Village: Another starting point is Jakhama Village, which is about 20 km from Kohima. This route is shorter but steeper compared to the Viswema route.


3. The Trek to Dzukou Valley
Viswema Route:
Trailhead: From Viswema Village, you can take a local taxi to the trailhead.
Trek: The trek from Viswema involves a mix of gradual ascents and descents. It takes about 4-5 hours to reach the valley.
Jakhama Route:
Trailhead: From Jakhama Village, you can start the trek directly.
Trek: This route is steeper and more challenging but shorter. It takes about 3-4 hours to reach the valley.
