Hampi is an ancient and historically significant village located in the state of Karnataka, India. It is renowned for its rich cultural and architectural heritage. In 1986, Hampi was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its historical and architectural importance. The ruins of Hampi showcase the grandeur and sophistication of the Vijayanagara Empire.

The village is dotted with numerous temples, palaces, and other architectural wonders. Some of the most prominent structures include the Virupaksha Temple, Vittala Temple, Hazara Rama Temple, Lotus Mahal, Elephant Stables, and the Royal Enclosure. The Vittala Temple, with its iconic stone chariot and musical pillars, is a particular highlight. Many of the temples and monuments in Hampi are located along the banks of the Tungabhadra River, creating a picturesque setting. The riverside ruins are especially captivating during sunrise and sunset.

Hampi is also famous for its unique landscape, characterized by enormous boulders and rocky terrain. This makes it a popular destination for bouldering and rock climbing enthusiasts. Visit the Kishkinda Trust and explore the nearby Anjaneya Hill (Hanuman Hill), where you can see the Hanuman Temple. Continue your exploration by visiting the Chintamani River Bed, a scenic spot along the Tungabhadra River. Enjoy the natural beauty and relax by the river. Head to Anegundi, a historic village located on the opposite bank of the river. Explore the village's heritage and visit notable sites like the Anegundi Fort and the Navabrindavana.

Explore its impressive architecture and the nearby Hampi Bazaar.

Take a walkalong the Tungabhadra River trail, where you can appreciate the serene beauty of the river and perhaps even spot some local wildlife. Explore the Elephant Stables, a unique structure that once housed the royal elephants of the Vijayanagara Empire. Visit a stepwell in the area, such as the Pushkarni Stepwell, to see a traditional water storage system and architectural marvel. Make your way to the iconic Vijaya Vittala Temple, famous for its intricate stone chariot and musical pillars. Spend ample time exploring the temple complex and the surrounding area.   • Stay can be upgraded to couple sharing rooms Rooms can be provided based on availability.
  • Confirmation of stay upgradation should be in written.
  • Booking should be done 2 weeks prior the departure date for confirmed Train tickets, if not, can choose the option of Tatkal ticket. Extra charges of Rs. 150/- will be applied for regular tatkal. Premium tatkal charges mayslightly be more.
  • Numerous factors such as weather, road conditions, the physical ability of participants etc. May cause itinerary change. We reserve the rights to change any schedule in the interest of safety, comfort and general wellbeing.
