Popularly known as Himachal’s valley of flower, Hampta Pass trek is 21 km long, situated at an altitude of 14,100 ft. You’ll get to witness the beauty of 3 surreal passes of Himachal - Rohtang, Hampta and Spiti. Hampta Pass offers a variety of landscapes on the trail, and that’s why this trek is considered one of the most beautiful treks of Himachal. The trek to Hampta Pass starts from Jobra, located at a 2 hour drive from Manali. It offers lush green valleys of Kullu on one side and landscapes of Lahaul with barren mountains on the other. The trail takes you through green beautiful forests of pine, maple trees and birches. Witness the breathtaking views of Pir Panjal from the gateway of the Hampta pass. From the pass, you will witness the magnificent views of the snow-clad mountains of Lahaul range along with Indrasen and Deo Tibba peaks. The temperature in Hampta Pass remains pleasant throughout all months.

After arrival at Manali, leave for Jobri Nallah at 11:00AM in the morning. Reach Jobra, freshen up and after a quick briefing session and round of introduction we start the trek towards Chika, our first campsite on the trek to Hampta Pass. Along the trail witness the wild forests of oak, birch and fir trees. Chhika is a beautiful campsite beside the Rani River in the open Valley with great views. Upon reaching the campsite, freshen up and enjoy the breathtaking view. After dinner, retire for the night.

After a wholesome and nourishing breakfast, set on a trekking trail to Balu ka Ghera. Trek from Chika to Balu ka Ghera is a moderate trek of about 5-7 hours. Today while trekking, enjoy the breathtaking views of Dhauladhar ranges, the outer Himalayan chain of mountains. Walk through flowering meadows and valleys that create a delightful picture-perfect scenery for you to revel in. Upon reaching the campsite, freshen up and have lunch. In the evening with lip smacking snacks enjoy the mesmerizing sunset from the campsite. Later, have dinner and retire for the night.

In the morning, have a delicious breakfast and today get ready to witness the landscape of the Himalayas in the Lahaul and Spiti Valley. The trek to Pass is steep incline, one can enjoy the stunning views of snow clad mountains. After spending some time at pass start your descent to the next campsite at Shea Goru. The downhill has loose rocks on the way so one has to be careful while walking downwards. Upon reaching the campsite, freshen up and have lunch. Enjoy the surreal views from the campsite and after dinner, retire for the night.

Today after breakfast, start your trek to Chhatru. Enjoy the beautiful views of Pir Panjal on your way. Chhatru is a most beautiful campsite; it is a sangam of 3 passes - Rohtang, Hampta and Spiti. After lunch at the campsite, drive to Chandratal. Spend some time exploring the beautiful moon shaped lake and drive back to the Chhatru. After dinner, retire for the night in camps.

  • Accommodation in tents which is on a sharing basis. Separate for male and female. For twin sharing extra charges will be applicable.
  • Transport required in the trek by  local bus/local transport.

  • Vegetarian meals on the trek (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner). We provide nutritious veg/jain food on all days of the trek.

By Road :- Roads connect Manali to different places including Delhi, Chandigarh, Dehradun and Ambala. There are several private buses as well that connect the hill station with different part of the state.
By Air :- The nearest airport is at Bhuntar, located approximately 50 kilometres away from Manali. Domestic flights connect Bhuntar with Delhi and Chandigarh. Once at the airport, you can take a taxi to Manali.
By Train:- The closest train station to Manali is Ambala Cantt, which is 200 km away. Another option is to get a train to Chandigarh, which is 250 km away. Ambala Cantt is on the Delhi Amritsar route.
