  • Chandigarh Airport (IXC): Chandigarh is approximately 275 km away from Manali. You can opt to hire a taxi, take a bus, or drive, which typically takes around 7-8 hours by road to reach Manali.
  • Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) in Delhi: Delhi is approximately 518.6 km from Manali. You can take a taxi, a bus, or drive to Manali (around 12-14 hours by road).

By Train:

The nearest major railway stations to Manali are Chandigarh and Pathankot.

  • Chandigarh Railway Station (CDG): Chandigarh is approximately 275 km away from Manali. You can opt to hire a taxi, take a bus, or drive, which typically takes around 7-8 hours by road to reach Manali.
  • Joginder Nagar Railway Station (JDNX): located approximately 50 kilometers away from Manali & takes 1-2 hours to reach by road. Please note that Joginder Nagar Railway Station receives a limited number of trains.
  • Pathankot Railway Station: From Pathankot, you can take a taxi or a bus to Manali.

By Road:

Manali is well-connected by road. You can drive, hire a taxi, or take a bus from various cities.

  1. From Delhi: Several buses (state-run and private) operate from Delhi to Manali. The journey takes about 12-14 hours.
  2. From Chandigarh: The journey by road from Chandigarh to Manali takes about 7-8 hours. Buses and taxis are available.
  3. From Shimla: It takes about 7-8 hours to drive from Shimla to Manali. Buses and taxis are available.

By Bus:

Several state-run and private buses operate to Manali from major cities like Delhi, Chandigarh, and Shimla. You can choose from ordinary, semi-deluxe, deluxe, and Volvo buses.

  1. Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) Buses: These are reliable and well-maintained.
  2. Private Bus Operators: Many private operators offer bus services to Manali.
