  • A 5 hour trek to Taluka sets off this morning, climbing down by the familiar trail, stopping at familiar rest points.
  • The car waits at the end of the dirt road to drive back base camp-wards. Pay special attention to descending tactic.

HOW TO REACH

By Air:

The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun, which has regular connectivity from Delhi, Chandigarh, Shimla, etc. You can reach the pickup point using local transport from the airport.

By Rail:

Dehradun Terminal railway station is well-connected by rail, with trains from Delhi, Chandigarh, Shimla, etc.

By Road:

Dehradun is well-connected by road, with buses and taxis available from Delhi, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Chandigarh, Shimla, Amritsar, etc


Cancellation 30 days before the start date of the trek — Get a full refund with no cancellation charges deducted.

Cancellation between 29 days and 15 days before the start date of the trek — Get a refund with 50% cancellation charges deducted.

Cancellation within 14 days prior to the start date of the trek, or no show on the start day of the trek — Unfortunately, no refund or voucher will be issued.

If you had used a voucher to register for the trek but now wish to cancel, the above cancellation policy applies. If there is a balance in your voucher after cancellation charges, it stays credited to your account. If the validity of the voucher has expired at the time of cancellation, you do not get any voucher/refund or an extension for it.

In the Event That Safarwallah Cancels a Trek:
If Safarwallah cancels a trek due to force majeure, natural calamities, or unexpected situations like political unrest or government orders, we will issue a voucher for the full trek fee (minus trek insurance). This voucher can be redeemed on any of our treks within the next year.

Note: If the group is forced to abandon the trek after reaching or crossing the first campsite due to weather, trail conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances, no voucher will be issued.

If You Want to Reschedule Your Trek
Rescheduling is allowed as follows:
First reschedule 30 days before the trek — No charge applicable.
Reschedule within 29 days of the trek — 20% rescheduling fee.
Rescheduling for the second time — 20% fee irrespective of the trek date.
If you cancel a rescheduled trek, the standard cancellation policy applies.
Rescheduling is not possible within 3 days of the trek.

Refunds for Trek Interruption:
No refunds will be given for trekkers who return from the middle of the trek due to health issues, disciplinary reasons, or personal choices.

  • Customer/Participant: Refers to any individual or group who has signed up for a trek or related services offered by Safarwallah.
  • Vendor: Refers to any third-party supplier contracted by Safarwallah to provide services such as transport, accommodation, food, equipment, etc.

2. Booking and Payment

  • All bookings must be made through Safarwallah’s official website, email, or authorized representatives.
  • Full payment for treks, expeditions, and services is required as per the payment schedule communicated at the time of booking.
  • Safarwallah reserves the right to cancel any booking that remains unpaid after the due date.

Safarwallah reserves the right to make changes to the itinerary due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to weather conditions, government regulations, road closures, or health emergencies. No refunds will be provided for these changes, and Safarwallah will not be liable for any costs incurred by the participant due to itinerary changes.

5. Medical Fitness

Participants must declare their fitness and disclose any pre-existing medical conditions. Participation is subject to medical clearance.

6. Participant Responsibilities

Participants must follow instructions given by trek leaders and staff during the trek. Non-compliance may result in termination of participation, with no refund or compensation.

7. Vendor Responsibilities and Liabilities

Safarwallah works with third-party vendors (transport, accommodation, etc.) to provide services during treks. Safarwallah is not liable for any disputes or shortcomings on part of these vendors, though all efforts will be made to resolve issues.

8. Risk Acknowledgment

Trekking and adventure activities carry inherent risks, including but not limited to injuries, altitude sickness, unpredictable weather, or wildlife encounters. By signing up, participants acknowledge these risks and agree to indemnify Safarwallah from any liability for injury, death, or damages sustained during the trek.

9. Force Majeure

Safarwallah shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations under this agreement if such delay or failure is due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, war, strikes, or government restrictions.

10. Privacy and Data Protection

Safarwallah collects personal information necessary for processing bookings and communication. This data is handled with confidentiality and is never shared with third parties unless required by law.

11. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from bookings, participation, or services will be resolved through mutual discussion between Safarwallah and the concerned party.

12. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any legal action or proceedings related to or arising out of these terms shall be conducted in Ludhiana, Punjab.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

Safarwallah provides services “as is” and does not guarantee any specific outcomes or results from participation in treks or expeditions.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Safarwallah's liability for any damages, losses, or injuries, whether contractual, tortious, or otherwise, shall not exceed the total amount paid by the participant for the trek.

15. Modification of Terms

Safarwallah reserves the right to modify or update these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be communicated through official channels, and continued use of Safarwallah’s services implies acceptance of these changes.
