Famous for its huge valleys, forests, ancient villages and streams, Har Ki Dun trek is one of the most complete treks in Uttarakhand. With one of the oldest trails in the Himalayas, Har Ki Dun valley is also called ‘valley of gods’ and ‘the hanging valley’. The trek covers the famous Someshwar Devta Temple and the trail which is believed to be once taken by the Pandavas in Mahabharata on their way to heaven.

Trek to Har Ki Dun starts from Sankri- a small village situated deep into the Himalayas. The total distance of the trek is 47 km making it a moderate difficulty level trek but the trek is famous for its variety. You’ll cross ancient villages and trails, embrace the beautiful sight of deodar trees, and gaze at the views of mighty peaks like Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, Kala Nag, etc. With a thrilling and exciting adventure, Har Ki Dun trek is the best opportunity for trekkers to explore the best of Himalayan treks.

Seema village via Osla

HOW TO REACH

● By Air: Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun that is 20km away from the city. Visitors can take a direct flight to Dehradun from Mumbai or Delhi or connecting flights from anywhere in India. Local vehicles can be availed from outside the airport to reach Dehradun by road from that will take around 40-45 mins to reach the city depending upon the traffic.
● By Train: Dehradun Junction Railway Station is well-connected to all the major cities. The Dehradun Railway Station is located 1-2 kilometers away from the city centre and should take you only ten minutes, depending on traffic. Visitors can easily find frequent trains from Delhi to Dehradun.
● By Road: Dehradun is well connected by roads to all major cities and towns, It is well connected by road to cities like Delhi by the NH 58 and 72 is approximately a 4 hour drive. Dehradun is also well connected to cities like Haridwar and Rishikesh.
