Harischandragad, situated in the Malshej region of the Western Ghats is one of the most famous hill forts in the region. Located in Ahmednagar, the fort is decorated with lush greenery a sheet of clouds. Embark on a fun-filled trek to Harishchandragad fort and come across Saptatirtha Pushkarni Temple and the Kedareshwar Cave where resides a big Shiva Linga, which is completely surrounded by water. Camping in Harishchandragad will give you a unique experience and have fun with your loved ones. Take a stroll through the serene areas around the campsite and make your trip memorable. Embark on this trekking & camping experience that is driven every Saturday. The meeting point of the trek is Kasara railway station for those who opt for the transportation package. Those who opt for without transportation package will have to report directly to Pachnai village, the base village itself. Travel conveniently in the shared transfers or reach the base village all by yourself and meet with your guide that will be assisting you throughout the trek. You will also witness the Temple of Harishchandreshwar which provides a scenic view of the surrounding region and the setting sun. Taramati peak is the topmost point on the fort which offers great views of the surroundings. Your night stay will be in tents on a sharing basis depending upon your size. Both the packages are inclusive of dinner on day 1, and morning breakfast & tea, followed by lunch on day 2. You will get an assistance of a guide during the activity to ease the obstacles so you enjoy every part of the Harishchandragad trek.

🔸09:15 AM: Board the 09:37 am Kasara local fast train from CST & meet the team at the Kasara station ticket counter by 12:00 PM. 🔸12:15 PM: Head on to Pachnai in privately booked vehicles (if selected the with transfers package) and stop at a Dhaba for Lunch (not included in the package) where you will be commencing your trek. It’ll take approximately 3 hours to reach the village. Those who select the without transfer package will have to reach directly to the base village. 🔸04:00 PM: Reach the base village, from where you can get a glimpse of Harishchandrgad Kokankada rest for a while & get evening refreshments and get ready to start the trek. 🔸04:30 PM: Gear up and get ready for an enthralling climb to the top. Make a few halts on the way where you can grab your snack or a drink. 🔸07:30 PM: Reach Campsite on the top of Kokankada & refresh yourselves. 🔸09:00 PM: Prepare for a night under the sky and grab a delicious dinner, play a few games, share interesting stories, make new friends & enjoy the bonfire night under the star-studded sky. 🔸11:30 PM: Stay overnight in the camps and take a good night's sleep.

🔸05:00 AM: Wake up early in the morning and get yourself refreshed. 🔸05:10 AM: For those who would like to see the sunrise, trek towards the Taramati point and rest can sleep in a tent. 🔸06:30 AM: Reach the Taramati point and enjoy the sunrise. Click some magnificent pictures with a beautiful view. 🔸08:30 AM: Reach back to Konkankada & relax by having a hot cup of tea and breakfast. 🔸09:00 AM: Start your descent. and on your way, finally, get a view of the surroundings you see from the Harishchandrgad & Konkan Kada. While descending, visit the Ganesh caves, temple & shivling. 🔸12:30 PM: Reach down the base village and refresh yourself & grab some quick lunch. 🔸01:00 PM: Head back to Kasara railway station in shared transfers (if selected the variant with transfers). 🔸04:30 PM: Reach Kasara Railway Station and get on with your journey further ahead. 🔸06:00 PM: Adios! End of the Experience.

Had an amazing trip. The local food was delicious. The people are extremely welcoming and treat you well. The overall experience was very good. The only thing which I could suggest is that the washrooms could have been cleaner. Overall enjoyed it :)
