All About It
  • 6 Days  5 Nights

What if a backpacking trip could transport you from the bustle of city life to the fantastical bliss of the Himalayas? On this Himachal Backpacking Trip to Bir-Manali-Kasol, we'd be doing just that.

Beginning in New Delhi, we will travel to Bir, known as the "Paragliding Capital of India" and a prominent location for ecotourism, spiritual studies, and meditation. Spend the day paragliding, exploring the neighborhood's sights, like the Bir Waterfall, and the evening cafe-hopping and sampling the cuisine of the area.

We will next go toward Manali, one of India's most well-known Himalayan towns, which is our next stop. While we are here, we will see Manali's well-known "Mall Road" and travel to "Old Manali," where the tranquil cafes by the Beas river will charm you. You can do whatever you want because the day will be rather leisurely.

The Atal tunnel, the world's longest tunnel over 10,000 feet, will take us from Kullu Valley to Sissu, a picturesque hamlet tucked in Lahaul Valley. As you enter Lahaul valley, observe how the environment dramatically changes, with the green canopies giving way to rugged, brown mountains that are dusted with deep snow throughout the winter.

We'll be doing a short climb to the Sissu waterfall while we're there, as well as touring the village and the surrounding area. After that, we'll return to Manali and spend a few delightful hours there. The quaint hamlet of Kasol is the next stop on our schedule for this Himachal backpacking trip to Bir - Manali - Kasol.

The little hamlet of Kasol, also referred to as the "Mini Israel of India," is located in the Parvati Valley along the Parvati river. We go to Chalal village and spend some time by the Parvati river, allowing you to experience a deepening sense of inner peace amidst the Himalayas. We will then proceed to Gurudwara Manikaran Sahib to tour another nearby Kasol location after this.

Joining our Himachal Backpacking Trip to Bir-Manali-Kasol is a great opportunity to revive yourself if you need a break from your regular routine and monotony.

What’s life without adventure? Isn’t the real purpose of life to travel, to experience new places, and witness the sunrise from new mountaintops? This thought is what united Jatin and Tarun over a cup of chai, in spite of being from two unrelated backgrounds (CA and IT). They knew each other since the time Jatin was helping Tarun learn the ways of the wilderness through weekend treks and outings with another traveling group. Their love for traveling and trekking together motivated them to start something of their own. Thus was born “Plan The Unplanned”, where travel goals come true. Under the Companies Act, Plan The Unplanned is incorporated as Unplanned Journeys Private Limited They started their journey on unsteady ground, much like any other company, but they shared an infatuation for travel and adventure with their customers, which amplified their determination, and thus, Plan the Unplanned family keeps getting bigger every day! Just about any travel idea can come alive with Plan The Unplanned…treks, adventure activities like rock climbing, kayaking, rafting, backpacking trips across the country, cultural outings, photo walks; everything that fellow travelers need, to explore the great outdoors together.
