Starting from Dimapur, this trip offers a unique opportunity to explore Nagaland’s culture, history, and natural wonders, making it an unforgettable experience for travelers.

Day 1 - (DEC 6th) : Meet at Dimapur Station and Drive to Kohima

- Gather at Dimapur Railway Station or Airport by the afternoon, where you will be greeted by the trip guide.
- Enjoy the scenic journey through the picturesque landscapes of Nagaland as we head toward Kohima.
- Upon arrival in Kohima, explore the World War II Cemetery, a historic site paying tribute to the brave soldiers who fought in the Battle of Kohima. This site offers a moment of reflection amidst the backdrop of the rolling hills.
- Post visit, check-in at your homestay. Freshen up and prepare for the adventure-filled days ahead.
- In the evening,introduction to Naga culture and a briefing about the itinerary.
Day 2 - (DEC 7th) : Explore First Green Village of Asia – Khonoma & Dzuleke

- After breakfast, drive to Khonoma, known as the first Green Village of Asia for its eco-friendly initiatives.
- Explore the village and interact with the locals to learn about their conservation efforts and sustainable living practices.
- Visit the Khonoma Fort, a site of historical significance, known for the resistance of the Angami tribe against British rule.
- After Khonoma, take a short excursion to Dzuleke, a quaint village tucked amidst the hills. Experience the pristine beauty, the calm streams, and serene environment as you interact with the local Angami tribes.
- Enjoy a short nature walk in the village, surrounded by lush forests and wildlife.
- Return to Kohima:
- Head back to Kohima in the evening. Relax and prepare for the trek on the following day.
Day 3 - (DEC 8th) : Trek to Dzuko Valley

Early breakfast and drive to Viswema Village, the starting point of the Dzuko Valley Trek.
- Begin the trek through scenic trails. The initial 1-2 hours are steep, but you will soon be rewarded with mesmerizing views of the lush hills and valleys.
- Arrive at Dzuko Valley (4-5 hours trek):
- Known as the “Valley of Flowers of the Northeast,” Dzuko Valley is a haven for nature lovers with its rolling green meadows, unique flora, and crystal-clear streams.
- Check into the base camp and have lunch.
- Spend the rest of the day exploring the valley at your own pace. You can go on short hikes, sit by the streams, or simply enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the landscape.
- Gather around a bonfire (weather permitting) and share stories with your fellow trekkers.
Day 4 - (DEC 9th) : Day at Hornbill Festival

After an early breakfast, begin the descent from Dzuko Valley back to Viswema Village (approx. 3-4 hours).
- Drive to Kisama Heritage Village:
- After reaching Viswema, drive to Kisama Heritage Village, the main venue for the Hornbill Festival.
- Spend the rest of the day soaking in the vibrant festivities. Witness traditional performances by various Naga tribes, including their colorful dances, songs, and indigenous games.
- Explore the various tribal huts showcasing their unique customs, crafts, and food.
- Enjoy cultural performances, including fire dancing and tribal music.
Day 5 - (DEC 10th) : Grand Closing Ceremony of Hornbill Festival

After breakfast, head to Kisama Heritage Village for the Grand Closing Ceremony of the Hornbill Festival.
- Enjoy the grand finale, which includes spectacular performances, displays of traditional martial arts, the Hornbill Rock Music Concert, and the final tribal performances.
- The closing ceremony is a blend of celebration, tradition, and modern performances, culminating in fireworks to close the event.
- Return to Kohima and spend the evening relaxing or doing some last-minute shopping for local handicrafts and souvenirs in the city’s markets.

You can reach Dimapur by train or flight. Dimapur has an airport with flights connecting major cities in India. Our trip starts with a pick-up from Dimapur Railway Station or Airport.

- No cancellations will be taken over call or whatsApp msg. Please reply in email with payment receipt that you have received at the time of booking.
- No Show . No refund.
- If remaining payment is not received 7 days before the event start date, Your slot is assumed to be cancelled.
- Incase of government orders, harsh weather conditions , protests , landslides or any other unforeseen circumstances , we work out the best possible alternate plans or trips/treks. At times even certain activities are cancelled , the organisation provides the best alternate but no refunds are provided.
- If event is called off at the last moment due to a natural calamity/unforeseen circumstances (like rain, snowfall, earthquake, landslides, strike, bandh etc.), Offbeat Compass will issue a trek voucher for the full amount (minus) IRCTC / Bus Booking Cancellation Charges and if possible will provide an alternate event. The voucher can be redeemed upto same amount for the same event or another event in the next 365 days from the event departure date.
- If a trek or trip cannot be completed due to natural calamity/unforeseen circumstances (like rain, snowfall, earthquake, landslides, strike, bandh etc.). No refund would be provided.
- Any extra expense coming due to any natural calamity/unforeseen circumstances (like rain, snowfall, earthquake, landslides, strike, bandh, Train Cancellations etc.), Will be beared by customer. Offbeat Compass will not be liable.

- 30 days or more prior to the departure date: 90% of the total package fee refundable
- Between 21-30 days prior to the departure date: 60% of the total package fee refundable
- Between 20-11 days prior to the departure date: 30% of the total package fee refundable
- Less than 10 days prior to the departure date: No refund
- No show: No refund
- No refund will be made if a participant is unable to complete the tour/trek/adventure activity owing to medical conditions or any other reasons, after starting the tour/trek/adventure activity
