Kaas Plateau also known as the “Kaas Pathar” is situated in the Western Ghat’s Sahyadri range, 22 km from Satara city in the state of Maharashtra, India. The name Kaas originates from Kaasa tree. As the leaves of this tree mature, they turn from green to red. Recently this site was declared as “WORLD HERITAGE SITE” due to excellent biodiversity present over here. Apart from numerous varieties of wild flowers (some of which are endemic to Kaas only) this biodiversity site also shelters many insects, beautiful birds, amphibians, reptiles and some major mammalian species. Visiting this ‘heaven on earth’ is always an outstanding experience.
Please Note : The size of the flower is smaller than the nail. The full bloom of the flower depends on the natural factors like rain, heat, humidity and it is constantly changing. Wandering Souls is not responsible for Low or No Bloom

- 06:00 am – Reach Kaas Plateau
- 06:30 am – Have Breakfast & brief Introduction session
- 07:00 am – Start the tour of Kaas Plateau and bask in the glory of this place. Explore the area and click lots of photographs for your instagram . It would be a guided tour
- 11:00 am – Move towards Kaas Lake
- 01.00 pm – Have Lunch
- 03:00 pm – Start return journey towards Mumbai(we would reach Mumbai by around 10 pm depending on the traffic). This brings us to the end of our trip.

Doesn't matter if you're solo and joining a group of strangers or travelling with your own group of friends with WS, the team will make sure you have an amazing experience. Kudos to our trip lead, Saurabh for being so calm, friendly and planning everything so well. Met some amazing people on this journey who are now good friends. - Cancellation charge of 15% would be deducted from the booking if cancelled 2 days before the event
- No refund would be granted if cancelled within 2 days of the event

- We will be mailing you the details a day or two before the event.
- Can I come alone?
- Yes, many of our participants are solo travellers.
- Is it safe for a female solo traveller?
- It is completely safe for a female solo traveller as our representatives will be there with you all the time. Moreover, most of our events have 60% female participation.
- Can we smoke or drink alcohol?
- Smoking or drinking alcohol is prohibited.
- What if I have a medical emergency?
- We will carry first aid kit with us. The coordinators will be first aid certified. If the problem increases, we will quickly get you to closest medical attention possible.
