This trek is perfect for all you adventurers looking for the taste of the extreme without spending a week in the mountains. Kareri lake is a shallow, freshwater lake fed by glacial snow melting high in the Dhauladhars. This makes the lake bed highly visible in many places. The Kareri lake trek is a popular one and sees a variety of terrain, including chilgoza pine forests, straight and narrow roads, multiple steep ascents, river crossings, creaky wooden bridges and verdant woods. The Kangra district is also famous for its ingenious tea brews, so you definitely can enjoy some of that.
