Kedarnath, possibly the most well known and widely travelled dham in our itinerary. According to old legends, Kedarnath is the place where Lord Shiva granted the Pandavas redemption after many prayers and requests, upon the end of the Kurukshetra war. “Kedar ” is one of the many other alternative names for Lord Shiva.
Kedarnath is dedicated to Lord Shiva and it is also the abode of the northernmost Jyotirlinga. The Kedarnath shrine boasts the entire robust Kedarnath mountain range in the background, and is situated at one of the most majestic locations possible.
Day 1 - DELHI TO SONPRAYAG
We depart from Delhi around 09:30 PM in an AC Vehicle. (Know the true value of time; snatch, seize, and enjoy every moment of it.)
Day 2 - REACH SONPRAYAG
Hotel
Dinner
- Reach Sonprayag, check in hotel
- Get refreshed and enjoy leisure time
- Sonprayag is located bit away from the holy shrine, Kedarnath.
- The town holds immense religious importance as it houses famous ancient temples near Mandakni river.
- Have delicious dinner. Overnight stay in hotel.
Day 3 - SONPRAYAG - KEDARNATH
Homestay
Breakfast, Dinner
- Wake early (like by 3-4 am), take bath and get refreshed.
- Checkout the hotel and head towards Gaurikund (the place from where we will start our trek to Kedarnath Dham).
- It will be a trek of approx.
- 17 kms and will take 8 to 10 hrs.
- to Reach Kedarnath Dham.
- Reach Kedarnath check in to homestay (basic stay), freshen up Proceed for the darshan.
- Dinner and overnight stay at homestay
Day 4 - KEDARNATH DHAM & CHECKOUT
Breakfast
Wake up and have Early morning breakfast,
Later enjoy the view and trek back to Sonprayag.
Reach Sonprayag and board your vehicle.
Later Depart back to Delhi.
Overnight Journey.
Reach Delhi by next morning
