We begin our journey from Kochi then move to Munnar, a place adorned with emerald tea gardens,
Later at Alleppey, known as the ‘Venice of the East,’ unwind on a Shikara as you traverse serene backwaters.

Day 1 - ARRIVAL IN KOCHI AND TRANSFER TO MUNNAR VIA ATHIRAPALLY

Arrival at Kochi Airport or Railway Station, where our Trip Leader will warmly greet you.
- After a brief introduction, embark on a scenic drive towards Munnar, a charming hill station known for its tea estates and misty landscapes.
- En route, make a stop at the spectacular Athirapally Waterfalls, often referred to as the “Niagara of India” Spend some time admiring the breathtaking beauty of the falls and capture memorable photographs.
- Upon reaching Munnar, check-in at your hotel and unwind after the journey.
- Overnight stay in Munnar.
NOTE :You can join us from any city in India, and we will help you by arranging your flight or train tickets to get to the starting point of your journey, as well as making sure you have transportation from the drop-off point to your final destination.
Day 2 - EXPLORE THE BEAUTY OF MUNNAR - FULL DAY LOCAL SIGHT-SEEING

Today, we venture into the heart of Kerala’s hill country, Munnar, renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, lush tea gardens, and cool climate.
Tea Plantations: Begin your day with a visit to the sprawling tea plantations that carpet the hillsides of Munnar. Walk among the verdant fields, learn about tea processing, and breathe in the fresh mountain air.
Mattupetty Dam: Marvel at the scenic beauty of Mattupetty Dam, nestled amidst rolling hills and dense forests. Enjoy a tranquil boat ride on the reservoir or embark on a nature walk to spot native wildlife.
Echo Point: Experience the natural wonder of Echo Point, where the scenic beauty is enhanced by the echo phenomenon. Shout out your name and listen as it reverberates across the hillsides.
Tea Museum: Immerse yourself in the history and culture of tea at the Tea Museum, where you can learn about Munnar’s legacy as a center of tea cultivation through informative exhibits and demonstrations.
Spend the night in comfortable accommodations in Munnar.
Day 3 - MUNNAR-KOLUKKUMALAI-ALLEPPEY

Today, prepare for an exhilarating journey from the serene hills of Munnar to the Backwaters of Alleppey, where thrilling experiences await.
- Sunrise at Kolukkumalai: Rise before dawn for an unforgettable sunrise expedition to Kolukkumalai, the world’s highest organic tea plantation. Travel through rugged terrain in a 4×4 jeep and witness the breathtaking spectacle as the first rays of sunlight illuminate the majestic mountains. (Own Expense)
Journey to Alleppey:
- Transfer to Alleppey, Check in to the Hotel / Houseboat.
- Have traditional Kerala cuisine for Lunch.
- Post this, you can take an exciting backwater cruise and discover the lush beauty
of Alleppey’s amazing network of canals, evergreen paddy fields, coconut
lagoons, and coir villages. - Dinner and Overnight stay will be at the houseboat / Hotel.
Day 4 - ALLEPPEY - VARKALA via JATAYU

After Breakfast proceed to visit Varkala. On the way, we will visit Jatayu Earth
Center, which is home to a massive sculpture of Jatayu, a mythical bird from the
Ramayana. - Drive to Varkala, a beautiful coastal town with stunning cliffs and a relaxed beach
atmosphere. - Varkala Beach is a popular beach where you can enjoy various water sports
activities such as para-sailing and paragliding. - In the evening, enjoy the nightlife at beachfront cafes and the sound of the
waves.Dinner and Overnight stay in Varkala.
Day 5 - VARKALA-TRIVENDRUM

Exclusions
- Meals not mentioned in the itinerary and all items of personal nature.
- Any other expense not mentioned in the inclusions.

- Activities not mentioned in Inclusions.
- Any other costing involved due to any kind of natural calamity, forced circumstances, which are out of our control
- In case your trip remains incomplete or uninitiated because of "force majeure" or due to personal reasons after you arrive at the starting point, you will not be able to get a refund, reschedule or replace any services that remain unutilized by you.
- Any additional cost incurred due to changes in Government Guidelines related to travel/trek/COVID-19 will be borne by the traveler o Additional Costs due to Flight Cancellations, Landslides, Roadblocks, and other natural calamities
Policy and more
Before 45 days of trip, there will be 10% cancellation charge
Before 30 days and within 44 days of arrival, there will be 25% cancellation charge
Before 15 days and within 29 days of arrival ,there will be 50% cancellation charge
Within 14 days of trip there will be 100% cancellation charges
Note that the cancellation charge is on the trip amount. All this been said if you or me can find a replacement for the slot. I will be happy to refund the entire amount. 🙂
- No cancellations will be taken over call or whatsApp msg. Please reply in email with payment receipt that you have received at the time of booking.
- No Show . No refund.
- If remaining payment is not received 7 days before the event start date, Your slot is assumed to be cancelled.
- Incase of government orders, harsh weather conditions , protests , landslides or any other unforeseen circumstances , we work out the best possible alternate plans or trips/treks. At times even certain activities are cancelled , the organisation provides the best alternate but no refunds are provided.
- If a trek is called off at the last moment due to a natural calamity/unforeseen circumstances (like rain, snowfall, earthquake, landslides, strike, bandh etc.), Offbeat Compass will issue a trek voucher for the full amount and if possible will provide an alternate trek. The voucher can be redeemed upto same amount for the same trek or another trek in the next 365 days from the trek departure date.
- If a trek or trip cannot be completed due to natural calamity/unforeseen circumstances (like rain, snowfall, earthquake, landslides, strike, bandh etc.). No refund would be provided.
- Any extra expense coming due to any natural calamity/unforeseen circumstances (like rain, snowfall, earthquake, landslides, strike, bandh, Train Cancellations etc.), Will be beared by customer. Offbeat Compass will not be liable.
Terms and Conditions
- OffbeatCompass may alter the itinerary due to factors beyond control, such as natural disasters, weather conditions, or road closures.
- Please provide your flight details to the operator before your travel date.
- Heavy rainfall is common from June to September, leading to potential itinerary changes. If roads are blocked due to landslides or other calamities, alternative sightseeing will be arranged. Customers must bear the cost of alternative accommodations as per the hotels' cancellation policies.
- All 3 Meals are included on the houseboat.
- If any sightseeing cannot be completed due to time constraints, traffic jam, natural calamity, travelers starting late, permits issued late or any other reason beyond control, OffbeatCompass is not liable for refunds or discounts.
- Airfare, train fare, and bus fare are not part of the package.
- Maintain eco-friendliness during the tour and avoid littering.
- Valid identification is required during booking and upon arrival, except PAN card is not considered valid address proof.
- Personal expenses are not covered in the package.
- Private (Super Deluxe) & Hotel Specific Bookings: No modifications or rescheduling allowed. Standard cancellation policy applies.
- In cases of force majeure events, OffbeatCompass reserves the right to reschedule tours or offer alternative itineraries for the safety of clients and staff.
- Cancellation after rescheduling: Clients who cancel after rescheduling will be subject to the standard cancellation policy, with rescheduling fees being non-refundable.
