Our expert team at Wandering Souls has curated an exciting itinerary that takes you through some of the most scenic spots in the state, all while keeping your safety and comfort in mind.
We will kick off our journey in wettest place on earth - Cherrapunji - where you will witness the magic of the monsoon at its best. From here, we will head to the capital city of Meghalaya, Shillong and explore its charming streets, bustling markets, and iconic landmarks. Our next destination is Mawlyngbna, a quaint village known for its natural beauty and adventure activities.

- Arrive at Guwahati airport by 12pm and meet our representative, we will then drive till Cherrapunji, which is approximately 150 km away and takes around 4 hours to reach.
- On the way, we will make a stop at Umiam Lake. Spend some time at the lake, which offers a serene and picturesque setting surrounded by hills and greenery.
- Continue your journey towards Cherrapunji, which is approximately 60 km away and takes around 2 hours to reach.
- On arrival, check-in to your hotel and spend time knowing your fellow travelers and playing games.
- Overnight stay in Cherrapunji.

- We will explore Cherrapunji today.
- Proceed to Nohkalikai Falls, which is the highest plunge waterfall in India. The view of the waterfall is breathtaking, and the lush green surroundings make it even more picturesque.
- Next, we visit the Seven Sisters Falls, which is a group of seven waterfalls that flow down the rocks in a serene and mesmerizing manner.
- In the afternoon, visit Mawsami Caves, which are a group of limestone caves that boast of impressive stalactites and stalagmites formations.
- Finally, visit the Garden of Caves is a hidden gem in Cherrapunji, Meghalaya. It is a beautiful place with a number of caves, waterfalls, and streams. The caves are home to a variety of stalactites and stalagmites, and the waterfalls are a sight to behold.
- Overnight stay in Cherrapunji.

- After breakfast, we visit Wei Sawdong Falls, which is a three-tiered waterfall the area. Next, visit Dainthlen Falls, which is a beautiful waterfall named after a legendary serpent-like creature called Dainthlen.
- Afterward, head to the Lyngsiar Falls. The river cascades over a series of rocky cliffs, creating a series of waterfalls that are collectively known as the Lyngsiar Falls. The falls are at their most spectacular during the monsoon season, when the river is swollen with rain and the water flows at its fastest.
- We will explore other lesser-known waterfalls if time permits
- Later return to Hotel in the evening.
- Overnight stay in Cherrapunji.

- Wake up early in the morning and start our trek to the Double Decker Root Bridge & Rainbow falls.
- The hike from Tyrna to Nongriat is a bit steep with around 3500 steps to reach the Double Decker Living Root Bridge, the walk is refreshingly green, once you reach you will forget all your fatigue. The living root bridge is a sight to behold. It takes generations to build these bridges.
- Those who can will head towards Rainbow falls (If Open). It’s a 1.5 hour hike to reach the falls.
- There are small secluded water bodies on the way to Rainbow falls which are perfect for a refreshing dip (If Open)
- We trek back to Tyrna by evening and return back to our cozy stay and comfort of our beds after a long and tiring trek.

- After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Cherrapunji and drive towards Shillong.
- On the way, visit the Mawkdok View Point, which offers stunning views of the valley and the winding roads. We can do ziplining here if available.
- Afterward, head to the Mawphlang Sacred Forest, which is a dense forest area that is considered sacred by the locals. The forest is home to various species of plants, animals, and birds, and is a great place to experience nature's tranquility and peace.
- We take a guided tour of the forest to learn about its history, culture, and significance in the local Khasi community.
- Continue your journey to Laitlum Canyon, which is a beautiful natural canyon located in the East Khasi Hills. The canyon offers panoramic views of the surrounding hills.
- Spend some time exploring the Laitlum Canyon and its scenic surroundings.
- Later, check into your hotel in Shillong and spend the rest of the evening exploring cafes of Shillong.
- Overnight stay in Shillong.

- After breakfast, embark on a thrilling day trip to Mawlyngba, a small village located around 60 km from Shillong.
- Mawlyngba is a popular destination for adventure enthusiasts due to its excellent river canyoning opportunities.You will experience a range of exciting activities such as river conyoning - which is combination of cliff jumping, rock sliding, and swimming in the waters of a river.
- The canyoning activity takes place in a stunning natural setting, surrounded by lush green forests and rocky cliffs.
- After spending an adventurous day canyoning, visit the new wettest wettest place on earth - Mawsynram village. If time permits during return journey to Shillong.
- We then freshen up and go explore some of Shillong’s nightlife on our last night.
- Overnight stay in Shillong.

Policy and Terms
- If cancellation done by participant prior to 45 days of the Event, 10% of the advance amount will be deducted
- If cancellation done by participant prior to 30 days of the Event, 50% of the advance amount will be deducted
- If cancellation done by participant between 15 to 30 days of the Event, 100% of advance amount will be deducted
- If cancellation done by participant between 7 to 15 days of the Event, 50% of whole trip amount will be deducted
- If cancellation done by participant within 7 days of the Event, 100% of whole trip amount will be deducted
Terms and Conditions
- Any additional expenses arising out of unforeseen circumstances like cancellation/ roadblocks/landslides/strike or any other natural causes out of human control or any emergency evacuation expenses will be borne by the travellers
- In case of cancellation of any event due to reasons beyond control (like Natural calamities, riots, political uncertainty, public transport failure etc.), refund shall be payable with respect to the given refund norms.
- Wandering Souls will not be responsible for any losses incurred for any train/air/bus/taxi bookings, hotel bookings or extension to the camp done by clients/participants

Can I come alone?
- Yes, many of our participants are solo travellers.
Is it safe for a female solo traveller?
- It is completely safe for a female solo traveller as our representatives will be there with you all the time. Moreover, most of our events have 60% female participation.
What if I have a medical emergency?
- We will carry first aid kit with us. The coordinators will be first aid certified. If the problem increases, we will quickly get you to closest medical attention possible.
What is the stay like in Meghalaya?
- We will be staying in 3* resort at Cherrapunji and 3* hotel Shillong. In a scenario where we have odd number of male/female trippers, one/two room will be converted to triple sharing. The Hotel list is as follows:
- Cherrapunji: Abode of Clouds Resort /Similar – 4 Nights
- Shillong: Eee Cee Hotel/Similar – 2 Nights
Would I get cellular connectivity Meghalaya?
- Yes, you will get cellular connectivity in Meghalaya
What type of food will I get in Meghalaya?
- We will be having our Breakfast at our stays. Lunches & Dinners we will have locally during our road trip and at our stays. A meal would cost around ₹200 on average
What kind of clothing we need to carry for this trip to Meghalaya?
- Comfortable clothing with some rain wear as it is monsoon season. A detailed list will be mailed to you.
What is the group size?
- The group size will be between 6 – 16 Trippers
How will you contact me once I register?
- We will be mailing you the details once you register. We will also create a WhatsApp group a 2 weeks before the trip
