Ladakh is a mountainous region and a Union Territory in the north India and in the area known as the Trans-Himalaya, (the lands beyond the Himalaya: Tibet, Xinjiang and northern Pakistan). It's slightly smaller than Scotland, the settled population lives between 2700m and 4500m, and nomadic encampments can be found even higher. The people are a mixture of Buddhist and Muslim 50% of each. Buddhists are the majority in the east close to the Chinese border and a slight majority overall while Muslims have the majority in the north and west. Travelers are likely to see more of the Buddhists as the majority of the tourist attractions are in the east and directly related to Tibetan Buddhist culture.

This day is the first day of our adventurous journey, which will be a lifetime memorable and self-motivated trip. Today’s ride will be the longest ride enroute sarchu, we will visit Suraj Tal and Deepak Tal. We will also cross the famous Baralacha Pass located at 16,616ft. which connects Lahaul district in Himachal Pradesh to Ladakh in Jammu & Kashmir. Reach leh via Lachangla Pass & Nakeela Pass with Pang. After Pang will be crossing the most amazing Moore Plains and experience a beautiful scenic journey on the Manali Leh Highway (Considered to be a definitive experience and the most beautiful in the world). Cross the Tanglangla Pass and travel through the Indus Valley. Reach Leh by late evening.

Early morning proceed to Nubra Valley via the World’s Highest Motorable road (5602 Mts) Khardungla pass. Khardung la Pass (18,380ft above sea level): It is not very often that one gets to drive on a road at an altitude of 18,380 feet. That is where Khardungla Pass, meaning the ‘Pass of Lower Castle,’ is located on the way from Leh to the Nubra Valley in Ladakh. It is the highest motorable road in the world as signs put up by the Border Roads Organization proudly proclaim. Arrive at Nubra Valley and check in. After relaxing, proceed for a visit to the White Sand Dunes at Hunder. You can also enjoy a camel ride here (Camel ride on direct payment basis). Nubra Valley: Popularly called the orchard of Ladakh, Nubra valley offers a graceful view of yellow and pink wild roses in summer and a carpet of wild lavender in the post-monsoon season. Today, get ready to explore the unexplored, After Breakfast we will ride our bullets towards Turtuk. Turtuk was under Pakistani control until 1971 after which India gained control of this strategic area and on the way, we will view beautiful valley. Which is a part of Shyok Valley. Turtuk is the last village before the Line of Control. After Exploring Turtuk we will ride back towards Nubra. Overnight stay at Nubra (Breakfast & Dinner included)

Morning after Breakfast proceeds for Diskit Monastery. Post the Diskit Monastery, proceed for a backward journey to Pangong via agam – shayok route. Pangong Lake: The picturesque lake is one of the major draws of the Leh-Ladakh valley. a location of several film shootings and known for its pristine waters surrounded by awe-inspiring mountains, Pangong Lake is a prime tourist attraction. The long and narrow lake lies in the neighbourhood of the famous Chushul Mountains. The mirror-calm water is cold, clear and extremely salty. The lake is a breeding ground for a variety of birds. Weapons, fireworks and toxic substances are not allowed at this tour and management would not be responsible for any person who has been found guilty under the Indian law.
The organizers reserve the right to evict any camper anytime without any refund if his/her actions violate any journey basket rules.
JOURNEY BASKET is not responsible for your whereabouts or safety if you are outside the camping premises.
Any loss to the camping materials such as tents, pillows, mattress or any property belonging to the campsite will be subject to full payment of product MRP.
JOURNEY BASKET won’t be responsible for any loss or damage of goods belonging to the travelers.
JOURNEY BASKET won’t be responsible if you get ill while traveling.
All guests must carry a valid govt. Issued valid ID card.
Only campers staying with JOURNEY BASKET will be allowed in the campsite and if you intend to bring guests from outside, you’ll have to pre notify us.
Slots at the campsite will be confirmed only after receipt of full payment.
Management accepts no responsibility for injuries or the loss/theft of any personal property during the tour.
In case of any breakdown of the transport in the way, you would have to wait until the transport gets repaired. No backup transport would be provided.

Registrations/tickets once booked cannot be exchanged, canceled or refunded.
