71% of our Earth is covered with water. India has a vast coastline of 7000 km. So why do we not take a paddle, jump in the water, float on its periphery and experience water? Lying on the banks of the gargantuan Arabian sea and river Shambhavi, Mulki is a tiny drop of heaven for water sports lovers. It's an esoteric town and tranquil delight for surfers and kayakers, where they feel the softness of the sand, witness sea creatures and corals in their natural homes, smack outstanding cuisine, and munch on the crisp water.
Mulki town is between Mangalore and Udupi, some 380 km from Bangalore. The Mulki beach is soft and sandy, away from dangerous sea creatures and corals. We will take our kayaks to glide, surf to catch the speed and roll in the water. If the water gives us tiring bumps, there is a relaxing beach, a rejuvenating trampoline and many peaceful hammocks.
Come to Mulki, Meet Life!
Bioluminescence is a natural phenomenon where living organisms emit light through a chemical reaction. This creates a magical effect, especially at night, where the water appears to be glowing. Mulki in Karnataka offers a unique kayaking experience where one can witness this natural phenomenon. As you paddle through the water, every movement causes the water to light up, creating an unforgettable experience. The bioluminescent plankton that light up the water are harmless, making it a safe and exciting adventure for all ages. The kayaking experience at Mulki is not only a thrilling adventure but also a great opportunity to witness the magic of nature.
What will you learn?
- You will learn how to paddle, sit-on-top of the kayak the right way.
- How to sit and get out of the kayak?
- How to swim forward, stroke and backstroke?
- How to navigate the water and rescue the right way to float in the water using a life jacket?
- How to rescue your fellow kayaker and yourself?

(Lunch self sponsered , No Dinner break)
Rise and shine, folks! Today, we embark on an adventure to witness the stunning beauty of Varanga Jain Temple. The anticipation of witnessing the ancient ruins of this temple is sure to leave you spellbound. Surrounded by lush greenery, the temple's lake is a stunning sight, with water lilies floating on its surface and various aquatic creatures like freshwater fish and turtles dwelling below. Don't forget to feed the fish as you take a boat ride on the lake.
For lunch, we would find a self-sponsored option and then continue to the Koodluteertha falls for a scenic hike. The Koodlu Theertha waterfall is a breathtaking sight, with its 300-foot drop straight into a pond. According to legend, sages used to meditate near the pond thousands of years ago, making its water considered holy by the local people. The area not only offers the stunning view of the waterfall, but also a peaceful and serene atmosphere. The only sound you'll hear is the roar of the water as it cascades down the mountain. End the day by watching the sunset from the Agumbe Sunset point.
Cheers to these adventurous, water-filled, thrilling two days at Mulki. We know you got a thousand stories to cherish for some weeks. Once these are exhausted, we would love to see you again – check out our other itineraries and ring us soon. It would be a pleasure to see you again. Till then, take care and love life.

What’s life without adventure? Isn’t the real purpose of life to travel, to experience new places, and witness the sunrise from new mountaintops?
