Kolukkumalai, situated in Idukki, boasts the world's highest tea plantation at 7900 feet. Home to a century-old tea factory, it produces top-quality tea using ancient methods. The location is renowned for its stunning sunrise, making it a paradise for visitors. Accessible only by jeeps due to the rugged terrain, a trek of 1.5 km from the drop-off point provides breathtaking views of the border between Tamil Nadu and Kerala. While an easy trek, caution is advised during monsoons. The path to Meesapulimala from Kolukkumalai is closed, but its beauty can still be appreciated from the hill's summit.
