Fondly called the “Dev Bhoomi”(the Land of Gods), Uttrakhand is a mystical land that will leave you spellbound with its vibrant culture and traditions, ancient monuments, unwavering spiritual and religious faith, thrilling adventure sports, wildlife sanctuaries and of course the bountiful of greenery and Himalayan snow peak all around.
Every lane, corner and city in Uttarakhand seems to have been painted and brought to reality from God’s canvas. Hence, it is advisable to witness the beauty of the entire Uttarakhand, but if you are on a time crunch, here are a few cities you cannot miss.
- Mussoorie: Have you ever romanticized nature in books, novels and movies? If yes, falling in love with the magnificence of nature is what you can expect at the “Queen of the Hills” – Mussoorie. Mussoorie is located 32 km / 20 miles north of Dehradun, capital of Uttarakhand, at an elevation of 6,932 feet (2,1112 meters) at the foothills of the Himalayas. With the snow-capped Himalayas guarding the city’s boundary as a gorgeous backdrop, you will have a picturesque affair with the vistas here throughout your trip. The most popular places to visit here are Mussoorie Lake, Kempty Falls, Mall Road, Gun Hill, and Lal Tibba.
- Rishikesh: If you are fond of exploring places that give you a spiritual high and an adrenaline kick with adventure and sports activities, then Rishikesh is ideal for your weekend getaway. Rishikesh is a tehsil situated in Uttarakhand’s Tehri Garhwal region on the banks of the holiest river in India, the Ganga. Like every other city in Uttarakhand, Rishikesh to is filled with lush greenery, captivating mountain ranges, and scenic spots, but what sets it apart from the rest are the yoga ashrams and meditation centers. Rishikesh is also called the “Yoga Capital of India”. Offbeat and thrilling activities to indulge in, in Rishikesh include River rafting, bungee jumping, cliff jumping, kayaking, rappelling, and camping. In Rishikesh, you must also visit the Ram Jhula and Lakshman Jhula and seek blessings at the auspicious Ganga Aarti every evening at the Triveni Ghat.
- Jim Corbett National Park: Uttarakhand is known for its wildlife sanctuaries, and Jim Corbett National Park is the most popular and visited one. It was established in 1936 and is named after the naturalist and conservationist Jim Corbett. It is spread over 1318.54 sq. km and is rich in flora and fauna. It is the oldest national park with the maximum number of tigers. You can book a jeep safari here and spot other wild animals like Royal Bengal Tiger, Sambhar Deer, Indian Hog Deer, Asiatic Black Deer, and more.
- All travellers are expected to gather in Delhi from their respective locations at a specific time mentioned by the T-Trikon travel leaders.
- From Delhi, we board our bus for Rishikesh. The distance is approximately 228.4 km with a travel time of 5 hours.
- We reach Rishikesh by 2 pm and check in at our hotel.
- Later, we go for the grand Ganga Aarti and pray. It is a worthwhile and once-in-a-lifetime experience.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
- Welcome the new day with the scenic views of the Himalayas covered in golden and orange sunrise hues at the Kunjapuri Trek. It is a serene spiritual experience at the sunrise trek. On the Kunjapuri Trek, the Secret Waterfall and Mahadev Cave are the best places to visit.
- After the trek, we enjoy a yummy local breakfast meal.
- After breakfast, it is time for thrill and adventure by the riverside. One can indulge in water sports of their choice, such as river rafting, cliff jumping etc.
- We set out for local sightseeing and a leisure stroll in Rishikesh in the evening.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
- Wake up to a healthy and nutritious start to the day with Yoga, followed by a Satvic breakfast.
- After breakfast, we check out from our hotel in Rishikesh and board the bus for Mussoorie.
- The distance from Rishikesh to Mussoorie is about 2 hours. On the way, we pass through the beautiful and quaint city – of Dehradun. You can enjoy the spectacular views.
- We check in at the Mussoorie Hotel and leave for sightseeing.
- We will visit the famous Kempty Falls and Mall Road, which is the busiest bazaar in Mussoorie for its variety of shopping items.
- Dinner and overnight stay at Mussoorie Hotel.
- After breakfast at the Mussoorie hotel, you can relax or go further to Kanatal or Landour.
- Kanatal is known for its peaceful ambience, sky-piercing apple orchids and mesmerising views of the Himalayas. Whereas, Landour is known for its colonial-style architecture and beautiful cottages.
- Afterwards, we depart for Jim Corbett National Park. The distance from Mussoorie to Jim Corbett is 35 km, and takes about an hour to reach.
- Dinner and overnight stay at Jim Corbett hotel.
- Start the day with a jeep safari and tiger-spotting at Jim Corbett National Park.
- After the safari, we check out and leave for Delhi.
- We reach Delhi in the late evening and, from there, proceed for our respective journey back home with the best memories!

- If cancellation done prior to 60 days of outing 75% will be refunded.

- For all tours and treks sold under TTrikon, if participant seeks cancellation due to natural calamities or any due to military or governmental decisions no refund shall be paid.
- If in case TTrikon cancels the tour or trek due to unfavourable conditions of travel then whatever best possible refund we get from vendors if we ever get can be processed, in case we do not get any refunds from Hotel/Transportation we wont be in a position to process any refunds.
TTrikon neither offer nor pay any discounts or refunds for missed or unused services due to the traveller’s own fault, negligence or breach of these Terms.
- Please note that cancellation charges are calculated on the Total amount payable and not of advance amount paid.
- TTrikon will not be responsible for any losses incurred for any train/air/bus/taxi bookings, hotel bookings or extension to the camp done by clients/participants (either independently or through us)
- Refund will be paid only by NEFT /cheque after 10 days of the completion of event. Even in case of events cancelled by TTrikon, the same process will be followed.
- Transfer of booking to another event will be permitted where feasible and will be at the discretion of the management and participant consent.
- If TTrikon cancels the event and transfer of the booking amount is done, the full amount will be transferred to the participant.
- If the participant cancels a booking and opts for transfer of the booking to any other event, only the refund amount (as per applicable policy), will be transferred to the new event.
- In case participant cancels the booking of an event where transfer of booking is done, the participant will be refunded the amount as per applicable cancellation policy.
- In case of cancellation of any event due to reasons beyond control (like Natural calamities, riots, political uncertainty, public transport failure etc.), refund shall be payable with respect to the given refund norms.
Frequest Questions
IMPORTANT: Avoid wearing precious Jewelry during the event, as Trikon won’t be responsible for any losses for the same.
Consuming liquor or any kind of Alcoholic substance is prohibited. Carrying any kind of substance that’s illegal is not allowed. Smoking is strictly not allowed. Anybody found smoking or consuming alcoholic drinks will be expelled from the event without refund.
Fitness & Health – Though backpacking is a fun-filled activity, it demands good amount of physical fitness. If you are under medication, please carry your medicines. During the trek, leaders will have over the counter medication for temporary treatment, so do give a heads up to them if you need any medical assistance.
