  • Best Season - Winter Spring Summer

You decide the starting point of your trip - Rishikesh or Mussoorie, but the trek begins in Pantwari village. 4,640 feet above the sea level in Uttarakhand’s Tehri Garhwal district, Pantwari is around 90 kms and 60 kms away from Dehradun and Mussoorie, respectively. Soon after you start trekking, the trail enters a grove of oaks and rhododendrons. While you get to experience the splendid lush greenery and blossoms during the summers, winters greet you with snow layers that accompany you throughout the journey. Overnight camping at the feet of the enormous mountains provides an expansive view of the great Himalayas. The sound of the heavy breeze and the clear sky of a starry night ensure you have a memorable experience. The trek continues to Nag Tibba top.

Everyone assembles in Pantwari village where the trek is slated to start. You can choose to reach Pantwari on your own or we can arrange transportation from either Dehradun or Mussoorie (at an additional cost). The drive to Pantwari is an amazing one. Till the time you reach the village, the natural beauty of Himalayas, Kempty Falls and the Yamuna river keep you engrossed. You start trekking from Pantwari towards Nag Tibba base camp. Once you reach the target, relax and enjoy the view. There will be an overnight stay in camps under the starlit sky.

Breakfast, Lunch

You set out early and soon after, you reach an open patch of land clearing by the forest fringes before ending up at the Nag Tibba temple. At this spot, trekkers can catch a glimpse of the Garhwal Himalayan peaks and enjoy the picturesque views. Close to the target, the trail runs through the ridges and takes you to the summit of Nag Tibba. Once you reach the top, you get to see the blue canvas with ice-capped ranges of Bandarpoonch, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Kala Nag. Trek back to Pantwari village from where you head to Dehradun/Mussoorie.
