Hey Hikers!

If you are looking for a short break from the city life of Bengaluru without much straining yourself, then Rama Devara Betta is a great option for a day trek.

Ramdevara Betta is situated 50 kilometres away from Bangalore in the district of Ramanagara. The famous blockbuster Sholay was shot on this picturesque Hill. Since the 1970s this location has become extremely popular among tourists. Ramadevara Betta Hill is the only Vulture Sanctuary in India and one of the best regions for trekking. Different species of birds can also be found in this region but it is especially famous for the vultures.

The view from the top of the hill is breathtaking and the fresh, light breeze will relax your body and mind. This location is best for a quick trip with your friends or family members. Ramadevara Betta is an exquisite spot for adventure. This Hill will provide you with unique experiences that you will cherish for the rest of your life. There is a Temple situated on the top and the pinnacle of the hill offers a mesmerizing 360-degree view of the neighboring areas.

The hillock is popularly known as Sholay Hill, since all locations made famous in the movie are visible from the top. The fabulous view from the hilltop is worth the 350-step climb. The trek is very easy and ideal for beginners. This is also a perfect weekend getaway and can be done within half a day.
