Samrad village and Sandhan Valley are surrounded by Alang, Madan, and Kulang Mountains. Sandhan Valley trek starts from Samrad village. Total trek time is around 5 hours which includes rappelling and crossing a pool of water. And deep gorges and one of its kinds of life experience which you feel at the end of the trek. The Great Grand Dad of all Treks – The Valley of Shadows, where you’ll hardly get to see the sunlight, isolated from the outer world, dead silence, passing through those deep creepy ponds, lifeless rocks and boulders, Echoes of your own footsteps will make you feel like a presence of some entity, sleeping by the waterfall with the nocturnal creatures in sub-freezing temperature. You’ll remember these 48 hours throughout your lifetime. a Brilliant & deep narrow rock floored ravine between the two high walls of a mountain range. At some places, its width is less than 3ft. so that at some places sun rays are unable to reach. So, it’s called the valley of the shadow. To go at the end side of the gorge you have to cross 2-3 water pools, water level changes according to seasons, in winter it is up to waist & in summer it is up to knee height. At the end of the valley, you get a magnificent view of high cliffs & deep valleys.

Experience thrill while trying 45 feet rappelling at multiple points in the 200 ft. deep water-carved valley Witness the outstanding views of peaks such as Alang, Madangad, Kulang, Ratangad, Ajoba & Kalsubai Enjoy a warm bonfire session under the star-lit sky & have fun interacting with your trek buddies Stay in camps for the night on triple sharing basis offering a peaceful experience besides the lake

Group of Youngsters came together and started Bhatakna.com with a motive to make people around part of their Journey, where everyone asked them “kidhar jaa rahe ho Bhatakne”? “Kidhar gaya tha Bhatakne? ” ” Bhatakna accha lagta hai kya”? As a youngster a typical answer hit their mind “Tujhe kya karna hai? OR else “Tu bhi chal mere sath Bhatakne, fir samjega Bhatakna Kitna jaroori hai” and here The Journey of a Bhatkanti began. Keeping this in mind we started to organize Travelling Events to help Travellers, make their trip Excellent and Meaningful. If you are a wanderer, don’t hesitate to drop a comment or email Us 🙂

The best trek I’ve ever gone to. I’ve travelled with many other tours but they are the best. From travelling to climbing, I was never bored. The trek leader is so interactive that you won’t feel lonely even if you go solo. They are punctual about their time and also they provide all the necessary services as per our needs. Enjoyed a lot during this trek and hoping to go on the same with this tours and travels.

Had an amazing trip. The local food was delicious. The people are extremely welcoming and treat you well. The overall experience was very good. The only thing which I could suggest is that the washrooms could have been cleaner. Overall enjoyed it :)

The base village for the Sandhan Valley is Samrad village where you can reach conveniently with public or private transfers. Following are ways by which you can reach the base village. By Train: The best way from Mumbai to get to Sandhan Valley is to take a Central Railway train bound for Kasara. The train journey takes around about two hours, 40 minutes. It is advisable to check the railway timetable in advance about trains going to Kasara. Another choice would be to take a train to Igatpuri however Kasara would be a preferable option as there are plenty of local trains to choose from as compared to Igatpuri where only outbound trains are available. By Jeep: It is more convenient to take a jeep from Kasara to Samrad village, which is at a distance of 80 km and would take about 2.5 to 3 hours to reach the base village. Since the train arrives early morning arrangements for a private vehicle should be made beforehand to reach Samrad village. There is also an option to take an ST bus from Kasara or Igatpuri station, but one should be fully aware of the ST bus timings as it is essential to reach the village early in the morning to start the trek to Sandhan Valley.
