The capital city of Kashmir- Srinagar is world renowned for its handloom that produces woolen garments and Pashmina shawls. Srinagar also acquaints you with the local handicrafts and hand carved wooden furniture made out of walnut tree.

Welcome to the Srinagar, the Lake City. On arrival at Srinagar Airport, being your tour of Splendid Kashmir'. You will be transferred to Hotel. Proceed on a city tour visiting the Shankracharya temple situated on the highest hill of Srinagar, the famous Mughal Gardens-Chashmashahi, Nishat & Shalimar. These gardens were Mughal Emperors concept of Paradise and today these are popular picnic spots. Also visit a handicraft shop where you can purchase local Hand Crafted items-Shawls, Jackets, Bed Covers, Paper Mache, Carpets & much more! In the evening leisurely stroll alongside the Dal Lake exploring the local markets .Overnight stay at the Hotel.

Today you embark on a full day excursion to the picturesque 'meadow of gold’ Sonamarg. Sonamarg is last stop of Kashmir district. From here starts the territory of ladhakh. Situated at an altitude of 2743m above sea level. The fast flowing Sindh River makes it popular for trout and masher fishing in summer. You can opt for a pony ride to one of the glaciers for some fun in snow and ice (at your own cost). Return to the Hotel in Srinagar in the evening and enjoy comfortable overnight stay

In the morning drive to Gulmarg, the meadow of flowers. The route from Srinagar to Gulmarg is fascinating. You will be mesmerized by its beauty. Gulmarg is famous all over the world for Skiing and Snowboarding. During the British Raj, Gulmarg hosted the Britishers and Europeans and as such they created a European hill resort and named it Gulmarg. In Gulmarg you would be able to find European surroundings and 18-hole Golf Course and enjoy Gondola Cable Car Ride world’s highest and the Asia’s longest cable car (at your own cost Pre Book Online). Enjoy photography, horse riding and shopping at this beautiful snow point and enjoy gondola ride to Kongdoori & Appahrwhat. Night halt at hotel in Gulmarg.

Early in the morning leave for Pahalgam the 'valley of shepherds' which is situated at the confluence of the streams flowing from river Lidder and Sheeshnag Lake. En route visit the Awantipura ruins, an 1100 year old temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu and built by King Awantivarman. On arrival into Pahalgam enjoy the surrounding beauty or walk to Baisaran, which is about 2 km from Pahalgam. A small village set in pine and fir forest is pleasing and offers good view.In the Evening check into the Hotel and enjoy over night stay.

After Breakfast you will proceed for Aru valley, and chandanwari by car (at your own cost). Aru is small village, 11 kms upstream the Lidder River, is a beautiful locality. The route is picturesque with ample campsites. This village is the starting point for treks to the Kolahoi glacier. The most beautiful of these is the huge, undulating meadow of Baisaran, surrounded by thickly wooded forests of pine .Hajan and Beetab valley on the way to chandanwari. In the evening return to Srinagar and check into the Houseboat and enjoy over night stay there.

By Air

  1. Fly to Srinagar Airport (SXR):
    • From Major Indian Cities: There are direct flights to Srinagar from major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, and Kolkata. The flight duration from Delhi to Srinagar is approximately 1.5 hours.
    • International Travelers: If you're coming from outside India, you can fly into Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) and then take a connecting flight to Srinagar.

By Train

  1. Reach Jammu Tawi Railway Station:

    • From Major Indian Cities: Trains run from major cities to Jammu Tawi (JAT), which is the nearest major railway station to Kashmir. Popular trains include Jammu Tawi Rajdhani Express, Jammu Mail, and Himgiri Express.
    • Travel Duration: It takes around 10-12 hours from Delhi to Jammu by train.
  2. From Jammu to Srinagar:

    • By Road: After reaching Jammu, you can take a taxi or bus to Srinagar. The distance is about 270 kilometers, and the journey takes around 7-8 hours.

By Road

  1. Driving to Kashmir:
    • From Delhi: The road distance from Delhi to Srinagar is approximately 800 kilometers. You can drive via NH44, which passes through cities like Ludhiana, Jalandhar, and Jammu.
    • Public Transport: State-run and private buses operate from Delhi, Chandigarh, and Jammu to Srinagar. The journey by bus from Delhi to Srinagar can take around 24 hours.

  • 👉 While entering passenger names during the booking process, Do ensure that they exactly match the names on the travel documents (e.g. Aadhar Crad/PAN card/ Passport/Voter ID card/Any Identity Card) that you will be carrying for the Trip/Trek.
  • 👉 The passenger names in the booking form should be exactly as per Adhar Card. Sky Hike will not bear any liability for the name change fee if incorrect names and ages have been added at the time of booking.
  • 👉 In case your package needs to be canceled due to any natural calamity, weather conditions, etc. SkyHike reserves the right to deny a refund request in the event of a disaster, depending on the nature of the disaster and its impact on the organization.

👉 Sky Hike reserves the right to modify the itinerary at any point, due to reasons including but not limited to Force Majeure events, strikes, fairs, festivals, weather conditions, traffic problems, cancellation rescheduling, closure of /entry restrictions at a place of visit, etc. While we will do our best to make suitable alternate arrangements, we will not be held liable for any refunds/compensation claims arising out of this.
