This prominent mountain is a popular trekking destination and an integral part of the Sahyadri mountain range. The trek to Kalsubai offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes, including lush green hills, valleys, and vast stretches of the Western Ghats.
At the summit, there’s a small temple dedicated to the local deity Kalsubai, and devotees often make the arduous trek to seek blessings. The route to Kalsubai is challenging, with steep ascents and rocky terrain, making it a favorite among trekkers and adventure enthusiasts. During the monsoon season, the region becomes lush and teems with waterfalls, adding to its scenic beauty.
