HOW TO REACH

From the Train StationBangalore has two important railway stations - Bengaluru City Railway Station and Yeswantpur Junction. Both railway stations have regular trains running from Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and other major cities. For travelling within Bangalore, there is Namma Metro (with limited connectivity), which is an intra-city rail network set up by the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation

From the AirportBangalore is extremely well-connected by regular flights from Delhi, Mumbai and most other important cities in India and also has international carriers flowing in and out of the Bengaluru International Airport, which is located about 40 kms. from the main city. A taxi from the airport would take about 45 minutes to reach the city

From the Bus StandBangalore is well-connected by a network of buses from cities like Goa, Mumbai, Pune, Coimbatore and Mangalore. The options range from regular buses to air-conditioned, Volvo and sleeper coaches. While some of the buses are run by Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation, there are also a number of private bus operators who run intercity buses to and from Bangalore.

A. The Hosteller is a chain of backpacker hostels and is well suited for young backpacking travellers. As a brand, we do not recommend families and do not allow all those below 18 years of age to stay with us, nor do we allow admission of kids or infants under 18 years old, even if travelling with legal guardians. This rule has been exempted in Kasar Devi, Shoja, Ramgarh, Kareri, Narkanda, Tirthan Valley, Jeolikote, Bhandardara, Chakrata and Amritsar till July 31, 2024.

Please Note: Guests below the age of 18 are not allowed in the dorm rooms.

B. Payment modes accepted at our hostels: Cash, Debit card, Credit card and UPIs.

C. Any payment gateway charges paid during the time of booking are non-refundable.

D. We cannot guarantee accommodation in the same dorm room in the case of 3 or 4 people travelling together. Also, allocation of a room in a specific private room category may vary depending on availability. That will strictly be subject to availability until the time of check-in.

E. Specific policies may apply to different hostels under the brand at specific times of the year and the same shall be communicated at the time of check-in.

F. The Hostellers Unbox cafe serves vegetarian options. Franchise owned cafes (not operated by The Hosteller) serves vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian options. Kindly refer to the general policies on the respective hostel page for further details.

G. To maintain the backpacking culture and community spirit we promote self service in all our cafes.

H. We are a PET-FRIENDLY hostel chain with the exception of Agra, Bir, Bangalore Brigade Road, Jaisalmer Sam Sand Dunes, Shoja, Udaipur, Jaisalmer, Fort Kochi, Lonavala, Opera House - Udaipur. We allow pets only in private rooms. Please Note: Pets are not allowed in the dorms and guests are fully responsible for the upkeep of their pets and will be liable for any damages caused.

I. Should any action by a guest be deemed inappropriate by the hostel or if any inappropriate behaviour is brought to the attention of the hostel, the hostel reserves the right to take action against the guest. Rest assured, proper investigations will be undertaken by the administration to ensure that the affair is dealt with in complete fairness.

J. Guests with local IDs will be allowed admission to our hostels except for Kasol, Manali, Jaipur, Udaipur, Jaisalmer, Agra, Ramgarh, Kasol Riverside, Jeolikote.

K. Right to admission is reserved.

L. It is mandatory for every guest to present a GoI approved valid Photo ID at the time of check-in. Valid IDs are Passport, Aadhar, Driving license, and Voter card. Every foreign guest at all our hostels must carry and present their passport and a valid visa (in originals) during the time of check-in. Every Pakistani guest at all our hostels must carry and present during the time of check-in: an additional residence permit letter from the Indian High Commission in Islamabad along with the passport and valid visa in originals.

M. In order to keep our accommodation costs as affordable as possible for all guests, we have adopted a pay-as-you-go system for certain amenities, such as locks, bath kits, and towels. By offering these items on a chargeable basis, we can maintain lower base prices for our rooms, making our hostel accessible to budget-conscious travellers. We understand that different travellers have different preferences and requirements, so we aim to provide flexibility in our offerings.

N. In case the traveller arrives earlier than the check-in time, the guest can hang out in the common area/cafe until check-in time. (However, if the guests are arriving as early as 5:30-6 AM, it is highly recommended to book a bed for the previous night to ensure a good night's sleep).

O. The hostel management reserves all rights to approve late checkout requests based on room availability.

We have a doctor, ambulance, or such facilities on call in case of any emergency.

All common spaces at the hostel are CCTV secured.

Are there lockers in the dorms?

We provide lockers in the dormitories only. Every bed has an attached locker for guests to keep their valuables. It is advised that you carry a lock for the locker if needed. However, availing a padlock from the reception will be subject to availability and at an additional cost. It is advised that you carry a lock.

Does the hostel have parking?

We have limited space for bike parking only which is subject to availability.
