Bir is a village located in the west of Joginder Nagar Valley in the state of Himachal Pradesh in northern India. Mostly referred as “Paragliding Capital of India”, Bir is also a noted centre for ecotourism, spiritual studies and meditation.The town of Mcleodganj, Himachal Pradesh is famous especially and foremostly for being a spiritual getaway and pilgrimage for the Buddhists. The reason behind that is it is home to the 14th Dalai Lama of the Buddhists, Lama Tenzin Gyatso, who came here in the year of 1960 after his exile from Tibet.While Dharamshala and Mcleodganj demand a lot of sightseeing, Dharamkot enchants a traveler to unwind at its many cafes serving delicious food and explore its natural treasures. The place is full of spiritual-seekers and peaceful travelers who are either doing some soul-searching or just enjoying in the lap of nature. This is a perfectly balanced mix of peace and adventure anyone can join.

Joumey from Delhi via Ambala (491 km Approx. 10,5 hrs). The journey starts from Delhi via Volvo. Route -We make our way through Kurukshetra, Ambala, Nangal, Una, Bainath. We buckle up for 10.5 hours of a little strenuous yet stunning drive arriving Bir the following day.

The exquisiteness of nature and the aesthetically pleasing location of Bir welcomes you with warm and hospitable vibes. Long journeys can leave one tired but then just one look of the mighty Dhauldhar Range, sound of the birds chirping, the scent of the woods is bound to rejuvenate one fast enough adding to the allure our intimate artistic stay at Bir.
We check into our designated accommodation, freshen up and get ready to explore this beautiful kingdom of Monasteries and the Land of Sunsets called "Bir". We embark our day with exploring some of the most magnificent monasteries ofthis gorgeous valley. We would be exploring Choukling Monastery, Nyingyang Monastery, Tsering Jong Monastery, Sher Having spent few hours here is definitely enough to get us hungry! We head to the hub of Cafe's in Bir for Lunch. Our personal favorite café's or strongly recommended ones are - Café llaka, Mafia Café - best live music, The Northern Cafe (Beautiful sit out area to watch sunsets), Silver Linings for the best cheesecakes!
Post lunch we then make our way into the mysterious woods to reach our secret waterfall. Yes! A secret waterfall! It's true that there's no better spot to find yourself than that which is right by a hidden waterfall, all to yourself. Experience tranquility as you listen to its music while it cleanses the mind and soothes the soul. As the evening descends we head back to the accommodation where we get to mingle with other in house guests, vibe and share experiences. With our bellies full with the scrumptious dinner we then retire for the night.

Up, Uppity Up! As we gear up for the most enthralling day of the itinerary -Paragliding!
We Leave for Billing which is approximately 14 km from Biris the takeoff site. The paragliding sport launches from Biling and then glides down to the landing site at Bir. Post the adventure, you can have lunch explore the local shops/Tibetan shops on own.
In the late afternoon we then head to visit the famous Bainath Temple - It is a highly popular temple as it houses on of the 12 holy Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva in the country.
The temple is believed to have medicinal powers as the water emerging from the temple is believed to heal people from their illnesses. Surrounded by lush green gardens the temple is destined to take your breath away as it overlooks the mighty snow clad mountains.
Once back from the spiritual experience, it's now time to go café hopping at the Bir Later then at night post dinner change into your cozy pajamas and eventually go into a deep slumber in the warmth of your room.
Today post having breakfast, we then check out to move to our next destination
Mcleodganj (6,800 ft) also know as Little Lhasa home to the great Dalai Lama Temple.
We drive from Bir to Mcleodganj (72kms, approx. 3 hr Drive). We be reaching around lunch time. Upon reaching Mcleodganj we check into Hotel. Post freshening up we head out to eat and explore Mcleodganj. Few recommendations - Crepe pancake hut, Moonpeak, Carpe Diem, Tibet Kitchen, Nick's Italian Kitchen, KhanaNirvana to name a few. Once we are done with lunch, we then visit the beautiful Bhagsunath Temple and Waterfall and later the Sunset point
Later we arrive at the hotel and retire for the night.
Post Breakfast we checkout. Enroute we visit the Great Dalai Lama Temple, Nyamgal Monastery. The drive from Mcleodgani to Dharamkot is a short one (8km, 20 mins). We check into our accommodation. Post relaxing we then can head out to explore any of these - Naddi View Point, Dal Lake. Saint John's church, Maharanapratap Sagar Lake. Later we arrive at the hotel and retire for the night.

**Please note: Incase there is a road blockage due to heavy snow fall, the tempo traveler/car might not be able to travel further. In those cases 4X4 would need to be

THINGS TO CARRY
1. Wearing layers is the mantra in the mountains. Layers give you maximum protection from all elements. You will need at least 5 warm layers (Insulin layers). You will need at least 1 pair of inner thermals, 2 light fleece layers, 1 light sweater, and 1 padded jacket. Ensure your padded jacket has a hood as well. A minimum of one pair and a maximum of two pairs of trek pants should suffice for this trek. Wear one pair and carry one just in case it rains/snows. Trek pants with zippered cut offs at the thighs are very suitable for treks. Also, choose quick-dry pants over cotton
Sunglasses - Sunglasses are to prevent snow blindness. A small overexposure to direct sunlight on snow can lead to snow blindness (about a half hour’s exposure). That’s because fallen snow is like thousands of mirrors that reflect direct UV rays. So you need sunglasses with UV protection.
Buying Tip: Try getting sunglasses that wrap around instead of those that have openings on the side. Even peripheral UV ray exposure is not a good idea.

3. Synthetic Hand Gloves - Get synthetic hand gloves that have waterproofing on the outside and a padded lining on the inside. If you find the combination difficult to get (not likely), wear a tight-fitting fleece hand glove inside a synthetic hand glove. Hand gloves are mandatory on this trek.
4. Woollen Cap - a woollen head cap that covers your head and ears is absolutely essential.
5. Socks - Apart from three to four pairs of sports socks, take a pair of woolen socks. Sports socks give you cushioning plus warmth. Again the mantra is to wear synthetic socks or at least a synthetic blend. Cotton socks soak in water and sweat. They are very hard to dry. As for woolen socks, they help you to keep warm and snug in the night. If you cannot get woolen socks, wearing two sports socks serves the purpose as well.

By train: The nearest railway station is at New Delhi Station. From there you can hire a cab to Majnu Ka Tila. Your trip to Manali starts from here.
By road: Hire a cab or you can ride any vehicle to Majnu Ka Tila. From here we will pick you up for your entralling journey ahead.
By air: From Indira Gandhi Delhi International airport, hire a cab to reach Majnu Ka Tila. Your trip to Manali starts from here.
Policy and Terms
- The advance amount is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.
- Full Payment of the trip cost must be made before the trip begins. Pending Payments may eventually lead to the cancellation of the trip.
- The IDs will be verified before boarding. No boarding shall be entertained without a valid Govt. ID.
- The transfer of the bookings is not permitted. Only the names mentioned at the time of confirmation shall be allowed to travel.
- No refunds shall be made towards any inclusion(s) not availed by the Client.
- Travelers must take care of their luggage & belongings. The management shall not be accountable for missing items along the tour.
- The time of departure is stated & fixed. All travelers must update their status with the Trip Coordinator(s), & report at the pickup point 30 mins prior to the scheduled departure.
- The Air Conditioning will be switched off in the hills. Also, during the trip, it shall be the driver’s discretion to put off the AC as & when required, considering the traveler's safety & ease of travel along uneven & dangerous routes.

In keeping with Government regulations, we request all guests (on single/double/triple occupancy) to carry a photo identity to present on check-in. Foreign nationals are required to present their valid passport and visa. Indian nationals can present any government issued photo identity address proof card e.g. driving license, passport, Aadhar card or voter’s ID card. PAN Card will not be accepted as the above. Also do keep handy proof of corporate affiliations, if you have made a corporate booking.
The Government of India has introduced a ‘no smoking’ rule for hotels, restaurants and all public places. This means smoking is prohibited in all parts of the campsite except in designated areas.

- Our check-in time is 2 pm and our check-out time is 10 am.
- Check-in Early/Late, or sleep in and check-out late, we will be happy to oblige however is subject to availability. Both may entail a nominal additional charge.
- If the behaviour of any guest is likely to cause distress or harm to them or others, our member of staff or other team members, our on ground Guide/Staff reserve the right to terminate their tour at any time and they will have to make their own arrangements; we will not be liable for any expenses incurred as a result. We will not entertain any claims arising in case such actions are taken by our staff.
- The guests are responsible for their belongings. For any loss/damage Travelmite/third party will not be held responsible.
- Travelmite shall not be responsible for any delays or alterations in the program or indirectly incurred expenses in cases such as natural hazards, accidents, breakdown of machinery, weather conditions, landslides, political closure, or any untoward incidents.
- We do not provide any insurance policy to cover the expenditure on sickness or accidents or losses incurred due to theft or other reasons.
