Welcome to Timber Tales!
We’re going to create some magnificent miniature masterpieces out of wood! Well, most of us are. This is an opportunity to try your hand at the age-old craft of whittling. Unlike modern wood carving with power tools and chisels, whittling is about creating delicate shapes and patterns out of wood using just a small knife. While you’re at it, sip on some delicious coffee, listen to some music, and let the art flow through you. This is just the perfect creative hobby.

Difficulty: Beginner
We will dive deep into the art. Start by understanding the history of whittling and the correct techniques to this delicate craft. Once we absorb that, it’s time to wear your gloves, get your knives and start whittling!
And before you ask, we will be providing all the tools and materials you need to get started — just bring your enthusiasm and imagination.
You will each be given a few blocks of wood that surrender their bodies to our knives. What you make with it is only a subject of your imagination. It doesn’t even have to make sense. Just remember, it’s the journey and not the destination. Create something for yourself or a loved one. Once you are done, you can take it home and put it on a shelf for the world to see the artist in you.
So, if you want to spend a few hours trying something new, this workshop could introduce you to that cool hobby you’ve always wanted to have. Join us and let’s carve out some memories together.

Vagabond started out as a project by four friends with a disdain for the ordinary. The idea was simple; take people out of their comfort zones. As musicians and travellers ourselves, we decided to marry these two loves of our lives. That is how the idea for the first Fields of Sound™ came about. Since then, it has only been onward and upwards for us. Since 2014, we’ve made friends like family through our journey. Our little ‘Vaga’-Fam. It’s safe to say, it’s been quite an adventure. One we would like you to join :)
