Up for an adventure, a life-changing experience, a trek, and lots and lots of fun? If white water river rafting in Dandeli, visiting angelic Magod falls, trekking to a secret falls, running through the silence of a beautiful sunset, and quietly strolling and swooping on the ghat section excites you, this Uttara Karnataka adventure tour is calling for you for sure!
Located in the Uttara Karnataka region, Yellapur is no small name. It is a box filled with spices for everyone. On this trip, you will break many barriers like coming out of self-manufactured shackles of doubts, hesitation, physical strength, and mental endurance. You are the one who will become. You will see it! This trip can be a beginning.
Starting from Yellapur, we will be moving to Magod Falls. You will see Areca Nut and fields of paddy on the way. Approximately 90% of people grow these crops for trade. Magod is a famous falls on river Bedti that falls from a height of 650 feet in two steps. We will also trek to a secret waterfall. We are not naming the falls or giving hints of their whereabouts for some reason. You will know how many surprises the overall experience of the trek and waterfalls will give you. The evening is for sunset, just like Jenukallu Gudda. It is 4 km from Magod Falls. And if there is one name that comes up for its river rafting adventure in South India – it’s Dandeli.
Nestled as a crown of Karnataka, in Uttara Karnataka, Dandeli is a beautiful end point for all kinds of lovers – scenic, romantic, adventure enthusiasts. Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary, Kali River, Kavala Caves, Syntheri Rock, Shiroli Peak, and Anshi National Park are some of the major attractions of Dandeli. We will take you to the adventure camp where you will lose your soul during rafting, only to get it back. So, get ready.
With fondness, Plan the Unplanned team wants to see you fall in love with one more destination. Read the complete itinerary of the Uttara Karnataka Adventure Tour for the comprehensive plan and book your tickets at the earliest.
Dandeli is a small town in Uttara Karnataka situated on the banks of the river Kali. By being home to Mountains, Jungles and the river, Dandeli is one of the favourite getaways for adventure enthusiasts, with white water rafting being the most favoured sport. The jungles of Dandeli are also famous for being home to the big five; Elephant, Bison, Panther, Tiger and Leopard. It houses Karnataka's second largest wildlife sanctuary and was designated as a tiger reserve in 2007. A local legend states that the city is named after Dandelappa, a local deity, a servant of the Mirashi landlords, who lost his life because of his loyalty. An alternative legend states that a king named Dandakanayaka passed through the forests and named them after himself, and the city is believed to stand on the place where Dandakaranya stood when he named the area.

Multiple sharing basis (separate for men & women)
We will freshen up and have a fulfilling breakfast. Then, we will prepare for Magod falls, located 19 km from Yellapur. The way leading to the starting point of the falls is pretty. Enroute, we will see Kavadi Kere lake. As we arrive at the Magod falls, the water's sound is soothing. The viewpoint offers views of river Bedti falling madly 200 feet and making a ravine at the bottom. It is an extraordinary example of the fierceness of nature. There is no way to reach the bottom of the falls.
Already feeling refreshed? Remember, this is just the start. Next, at our convenience, we will trek to the secret falls.
Afterwards, we will have lunch.
To sink it all in, on this Yellapur trip, we will let our feelings drown in the dusk. We are talking about Jenu Kallu Gudda. Sun sets in the western ghats at around 6:30, so after this glamorous red settling sunset, we will be back on the road to our homestay. During the stay, we will get ready for dinner and an exciting bonfire, where we will relive all the moments.
Note – The bonfire is subject to weather.
That is it for the day. You can go and rest in your dens.

What’s life without adventure? Isn’t the real purpose of life to travel, to experience new places, and witness the sunrise from new mountaintops? This thought is what united Jatin and Tarun over a cup of chai, in spite of being from two unrelated backgrounds (CA and IT). They knew each other since the time Jatin was helping Tarun learn the ways of the wilderness through weekend treks and outings with another traveling group. Their love for traveling and trekking together motivated them to start something of their own. Thus was born “Plan The Unplanned”, where travel goals come true.
