Velas:
Velas a coastal village which falls in the Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra. The place is well known for its beaches. Besides Velas beach, here are several other tourist attractions at Velas including the Bankot Fort and the Harihareshwar Temple
Turtle Festival:
Velas has been attracting nature lovers and travellers more for its Velas turtle festival, Maharashtra than anything else. Hundreds of Olive Ridley Turtles, one of the most treasured species of marine turtles, come ashore at Velas beach for breeding and lay hundreds of eggs

- 06:00 hrs – Reach Velas eco-village
- 06:30 hrs – Freshen up and get ready to visit the beach for the first sightings. Post sighting a brief about Olive Ridley turtles
- 08:30 hrs – Back to the village for Breakfast & tea
- 10:00 hrs – Leave for Bankot fort, it gives you mesmerizing views of the velas bech and harihareshwar temple
- 13:00 hrs – Return to the village and have lunch
- 17:00 hrs – We will visit the beach for more sighitings of Olive Ridley turtles
- 18:30 hrs – After the sightings head back to out homestay
- 20:30 hrs – Have dinner and stroll around the village
- 22:30 hrs – Day Ends!

- 06:30 hrs – Visit the beach for the last sighting
- 08:00 hrs – Back to the village for Breakfast & tea
- 10:00 hrs – We will leave for harihareshwar beach, the journey includes an exciting ride in the ferry
- 11:30 hrs – Visit the temple and soak in some Vitamin D at the beach
- 12:30 hrs – Have Lunch, we will start our return journey after lunch
- 20:00 hrs – Reach Mumbai. Say your goodbyes with a promise to meet again. This brings us to the end of our trip, Or rather just the beginning.

Just came back from my trip to Meghalaya with WS yesterday and I must say it was one of the best travel experiences that I've had. Doesn't matter if you're solo and joining a group of strangers or travelling with your own group of friends with WS, the team will make sure you have an amazing experience. Kudos to our trip lead, Saurabh for being so calm, friendly and planning everything so well. Met some amazing people on this journey who are now good friends. We didn't realise how quickly the days passed on this trip.. but i guess that's what happens when you are truly enjoying it. Look forward to many such adventures with WS!
