This is a trip that is the perfect balance between leisure and adventure. From enjoying shikara rides and houseboat accommodation on Dal lake in Srinagar to exploring off beat places like Aharbal waterfalls; Kashmir has it all! Also known as the Niagara Falls of Kashmir , the mighty strength of this fall is something to behold. On this journey , we also set out to traverse across South Kashmir . The list definitely includes Saffron fields of Pampore along with meadows of Aru & Betab Valley in Pahalgam. And something no backpacker can forget to explore -Gulmarg is in its full glory. A gandola ride & visit to Affarwat Peak is a must! The adventure doesn't stop before we reach Yusmarg , also known as the Meadow of Jesus! Here we trek till the beautiful blue Nilnag lake before departing from Srinagar. Join us on the adventure to backpack in this heaven on earth to enjoy the warm hospitality of people and the astonishing gems of nature.
Day 1 - SRINAGAR ARRIVAL | LOCAL SIGHTSEEING OF SRINAGAR | OVER NIGHT STAY IN SRINAGAR
Dinner
Arrival in Srinagar by 11:00 am, and transfer to the Houseboat. In the afternoon get ready to visit Mughal Garden. Come back to the houseboat and in evening go for a shikara ride for 1 hour. Later come back to houseboat, enjoy your dinner and overnight stay in srinagar.
Day 2 - TRANSFER TO GULMARG GANDOLA RIDE OVERNIGHT STAY IN GULMARG
Post breakfast we will begin our countryside tour towards Gulmarg. We will drive past colorful villages and rice fields that will give you an insight into the rich culture of Kashmir. After reaching Gulmarg , explore Gulmarg and enjoy Gandola Ride. Come back to the Hotel, have your dinner, overnight stay in Gulmarg.
Day 3 - TRANSFER TO PAHALGAM LOCAL SIGHTSEEING OVERNIGHT STAY PAHALGAM
Post breakfast transfer to Pahalgam. Enjoy the local sightseeing of Pahalgam. En route ,visit Saffron fields, Awantipur ruins ( 1100-yr-ols temple of Lord Vishnu built by King Awantiverma) , the beauty of the countryside and lots of rice fields. Check-in to the hotel and rest. Overnight stay in Pahalgam.
Day 4 - VISIT ARU VALLEY AND BETAB VALLEY OVERNIGHT STAY IN PAHALGAM
Post breakfast get ready to visit Aru valley and Betab valley. Visit the scenic and rocky valley of Chandanwadi, Snow Point (around 14km from Pahalgam) and you can also enjoy an exciting pony ride. In the evening come back to the Hotel. Have dinner, overnight stay in Pahalgam.
Day 5 - VISIT AHARBAL WATERFALL OVERNIGHT STAY IN SRINAGAR
Post breakfast visit Aharbal Waterfall. Aharbal Falls are also referred to as the Niagara Falls of Kashmir, owing to the volume of the water that falls . In evening come back to Srinagar , check-in to the hotel, overnight stay in Srinagar.
Day 6 - VISIT YUSMARG TREK TO NILNAG LAKE OVERNIGHT STAY IN SRINAGAR
Post breakfast transfer to Yusmarg it will take approx 3-4 hours to reach Yusmarg. Yusmarg in Kashmir means The Meadow of Jesus. We will start our trek to Nilnag lake from Yusmarg. Nilnag is famous for it's blue water and pine tree forest. It is approx 5Km trek which will take approx 3 hours to complete. In evening we will come back to srinagar. Overnight stay in Srinagar.
Day 7 - FLY BACK FROM SRINAGAR
Post breakfast and check-out fly back to your destination with some amazing memories of Heaven on Earth.

I had the opportunity to go with JB for the Winter Spiti Ride 2020. It was wonderfully planned and executed. Although we had issues of road blockages, it was very wonderfully managed by Pankaj, the team Captain. The stay at all places were comfortable. I started my Journey on 9 oct from Rishikesh towards Tungnath-Chandrashila Trek with Mr. Shaim and other members of the group. We have so much fun together all thanks to our Guide Shaim. Okay..so I booked this trip from Journey basket for Chopta. Didn’t expect much from it in the beginning as I’m a traveller and like to explore new hiking destinations myself. However, to my surprise, Journey basket just flipped the perception for me. It went great and I enjoyed every bit of it.
The camps were nice and spacious with good hygiene. They were well equipped with warm beddings considering the December winters.
Our tour coordinators Pankaj, Gaurav and Ayush Balli managed the group pretty well with various group activities to indulge every individual.
We did two treks - Tungnath temple and Doriyatal trek. Treks were an ultimate fun and an amazing experience!!
Well, the best is yet to come.. Journey Basket had arranged an amazing New Years Party with DJ and dance.. One couldn’t expect much !!
Lastly, Thank you Journey Basket for this great memorable experience!

Inclusions
Entire travel as the per the itinerary in a private vehicle. 6 Nights accommodation ( 1night stay in srinagar houseboat , 1 night stay in Gulmarg , 2 nights stay in Phalgam and 2 nights stay in Srinagar in Hotel) on double / triple sharing. A total of 12 meals- Day 1 (D), Day 2 (B+D) , Day 3 (B+D), Day 4 (B+D), Day 5 (B+D), Day 6 (B+D), Day 7(B) included. Internal transfer to Aru Valley and Betaab Valley. Gondola Cable Car first phase ticket. Shikara ride for 1 hour. Team Captain throughout the trip. Medical Kit.
Exclusions
GST (5%) is applicable extra. Any kind of food or beverage that is not included in the package like alcoholic drinks, mineral water , meals / refreshments/ lunches on the highway. Any personal expenses like a tip to the drivers, entry to monuments/monastries, camera / video camera charges, laundry , telephone bills, tips ,etc. Any cost arising due to natural calamites like landslides, roadblocks etc. (to be borne directly by he customer on the spot). Anything not mentioned in the inclusions. Airport pick and drop service is not included.
