The town has a profound cultural and spiritual legacy, marked by ancient temples, ghats, ashrams, and yoga centers that draw people from all over the world. Adventure enthusiasts have a thrilling time in Rishikesh too, as it offers various water sports, including white-water rafting, which is immensely popular due to the fast-flowing rapids of the Ganges.
