The Deoriatal Chopta Chandrashila trek begins from a small village named, Sari located in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand at a height of 6,601 Feet and it terminates at Chopta, which is a tiny settlement and is the gateway to Tungnath temple and Chandrashila peak (3998 meters)
The difficulty level of this trek is easy and is recommended for novice trekkers as well as experienced ones.
The group will assemble at the pickup point at 09:00 PM
Afterward, You'll be introduced with the team captains and the whole group
We'll start for a overnight journey towards Chopta Via Rishikesh around 09:00 PM
We'll take a mid-way stoppage at Modinagar for Dinner.
We'll be reaching Chopta by the Afternoon
Upon reaching, we'll check into our campsite and feshen up
After that, lunch will be served
The rest of the day is at leisure and you'll be free to explore local markets and more.Dinner will be served in the evening followed by an overnight stay at Chopta Campsite.
We'll have an early breakfast as today will be the day we trek mainly
Afterwards, we'll start to trek up from Chopta, which is the starting point of the trek
The first checkpoint will be covered upon reaching Tungnath Temple
We'll have packed lunch in midway sometime after we resume trekking agai
The second checkpoint for the day will be Chandrashila Top
Lastly, we'll trek down to Chopta once again and be back in our campsite
Post-check-in, dinner will be served followed by an overnight stay in Chopta Campsite.
We'll start with an early breakfast followed by checking out of the campsite
Afterwards, we'll drive to Sari Village, which is the starting point of Deoriatal Trek
Upon reaching, we'll start for the Deoriatal Trek and upon completing the trek, be back again at the Sari Village
Lastly, we'll board again for Delhi for an overnight journey by the Afternoon
We'll reach Delhi Early Morning

No cancellations will be taken over the call or WhatsApp message. Please reply to the email of the payment receipt that you have received at the time of booking regarding the cancellation.
Free Cancellation up to 45 days before the departure date (Booking amount is non-refundable)
If you're canceling the trip and opting for a refund within 44 days to 30 days of the Departure Date then only 10% of the total trip cost (calculated after subtracting the booking amount) along with the booking amount (non-refundable) will be charged as a cancellation fee and remaining sum would be refunded.
If you're canceling the trip and opting for a refund within 29 Days to 20 Days of the Departure Date then only 25% of the total trip cost (calculated after subtracting the booking amount) along with the booking amount (non-refundable) will be charged as a cancellation fee and remaining sum would be refunded.
If you're canceling the trip and opting for a refund within 19 Days to 10 Days of the Departure Date then only 50% of the total trip cost (calculated after subtracting the booking amount) along with the booking amount (non-refundable) will be charged as a cancellation fee and remaining sum would be refunded.

You are not applicable for a refund if you fail to show up on the day of departure under the given timeline that has been provided to you beforehand.
There would be no refund provided in case there occur some problems due to government orders, harsh weather conditions, protests, landslides, or any other unforeseen circumstances. On the occasion of any such happenings, we have a backup plan ready most of the time and we'll be moving onto that. There are times when we would have to cancel some activities mentioned in the itinerary but it's only due to the reason that we would be bound by a circumstance that is not in our control.
If a trek is called off at the last moment due to a natural calamity/unforeseen circumstances (like rain, snowfall, earthquake, landslides, strike, bandh, etc.) then the participants would be provided with a travel voucher for the same amount that can be used within 365 days of the issuance date for any package worth the same amount.
If a trek/trip has to be aborted midway due to a natural calamity/unforeseen circumstances (like rain, snowfall, earthquake, landslides, strike, bandh, etc.). In that case, no refund would be provided.

We always recommend that you carry your rucksack during the trek because it helps in maintaining your body posture. In case if you cannot, then we can provide you a mule/porter to carry your rucksack. You will have to tell us at least 1 week before the trek. The charges for offloading would be INR 300 per person per day.
Q. Which shoes should I buy?
Shoes are your lifeline on the trek. It is highly advisable to buy trekking shoes for a good and known brand. You can consider companies like Quechua, Columbia, etc. Waterproof shoes with ankle support will work well.
Q. What are the washroom/toilet facilities like on the Deoriatal Chopta Tungnath Chandrashila trek?
During the treks, separate toilet tents will be set up on each campsite.

Q. How many trekkers will be in one tent?
It totally depends on group dynamics. If there is a couple, we can give them a separate tent or if there are an odd number of people, then there would be triple sharing.

If it starts raining slowly while trekking then we will continue our trek as per the plan. Your poncho will keep you dry. In case if it is raining heavily then we will try to find any shelter and wait for the rain to stop or slow. If it rains at the campsite then there would not be any problem because all our living tents, kitchen tents and toilet tents are waterproof. You will stay dry inside.
Q. Why is the trekking pole necessary for Deoriatal Chopta Chandrashila trek?
It differs from person to person. If you think that it would help you maintaining balance while trekking then do bring the pole. Some people think that the trekking pole disturbs the walking rhythm. So it’s up to you.
