Situated at a height of 12,100 ft, Chandrashila trek is the most suitable option for beginners and is also famous for Tungnath temple which is one of the highest temples in the world. Chopta Tungnath trek is one of the few treks in the Himalayas that offers the greatest mountain views. You’ll be able to gaze at Gauri Parbat, Hathi Parbat, Dunagiri, Mt. Nanda Devi, Mt.Nanda Ghunti, and Mt. Trishul from the top
Apart from the views, Chandrashila Chopta trek gives you many other reasons to love this trek. The trail passing through oak and rhododendron trees is nothing short of spectacular. Deoriatal Lake is surrounded by forests with Mt Chaukhamba looming over it making it a breathtaking sight. By Air: Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun serves as the nearest airport to Rishikesh. Visitors can take a direct flight to Dehradun from Mumbai or Delhi or connecting flights from anywhere in India. Local vehicles can be availed from outside the airport to reach Rishikesh by road from Dehradun
By Train: Rishikesh Junction Railway Station is well-connected to all the surrounding major cities. Visitors can easily find frequent trains to Rishikesh from Delhi and Dehradun
By Road: Rishikesh is well connected by roads to all major cities and towns, so visitors as per their choice and comfort can take the bus to reach Rishikesh smoothly. Rishikesh is connected to Chandigarh, Delhi, Dehradun, and Nainital through a good network of roads.
