Situated at a height of 12,100 ft, Chandrashila trek is the most suitable option for beginners and is also famous for Tungnath temple which is one of the highest temples in the world. Chopta Tungnath trek is one of the few treks in the Himalayas that offers the greatest mountain views. You’ll be able to gaze at Gauri Parbat, Hathi Parbat, Dunagiri, Mt. Nanda Devi, Mt.Nanda Ghunti, and Mt. Trishul from the top
Apart from the views, Chandrashila Chopta trek gives you many other reasons to love this trek. The trail passing through oak and rhododendron trees is nothing short of spectacular. Deoriatal Lake is surrounded by forests with Mt Chaukhamba looming over it making it a breathtaking sight. There are a handful of winter treks in the country and Chopta to Tungnath trek tops the list with multiple reasons mentioned above.
