Have you ever camped inside a forest or strolled around the woods without any agenda, just appreciating nature? Join The Western Routes for a forest camping experience just 45 km from Pune. The campsite is located inside a forest surrounded by devrais or sacred groves. The plan is to just explore the nature, sing and chill by a bonfire with open fire cooking and hike up a nearby hill which has beautiful views of the tikona valley. Basically do whatever your heart desires over the weekend!
Day 1 -

31 October 1:30 PM - Assemble at The Western Routes office in Mayur Colony 2:00 PM - Depart for Hadshi village 3:30 PM - Arrive at the camp site. Tea & Snacks 4:15 PM - Head to explore the jungle, farms and villages nearby on foot 6:00 PM - Back to the camp site. Help with setting up of tents. We will start our prep for the chulha cooking. 8:00 PM - Bonfire and open fire cooking.
Day 2 -

1 November 7:00 AM - A nature trail in the forest to experience the beautiful "octopus tree" and other wonderous things in the devrai. 8:30 AM - Return to camp site followed by breakfast. 10:30 AM - Depart for Pune.

Things to carry
- Water - 2 litres per person - Masks and sanitizers - Each tent will have a mat to sleep on. We request you to carry your own blanket/chadar. - If you want to carry your own tent and sleeping bag, we will reduce ₹250 per person from the total trip cost - Carry your own towel and personal toiletries - A good torch - Some warm clothes - It might get chilly at night. A light sweatshirt or shawl is advisable - Sun caps, goggles or other sun protection gear - Comfortable closed shoes are mandatory. Carry an extra pair of floaters/loafers/flip-flops if necessary. - Mosquito repellent if you are prone to insect bites. - Personal medicines (We will have a basic first-aid kit with medicines, but if you require any special medicines, please carry them) - Some snacks for everyone to share! - If you play the guitar or any other musical instrument, do get that!
