We are backpacking to Madhya Pradesh - 'The Heart of India' Madhya Pradesh is a state of vivid culture, historical places to experience. It is a true destination with something for everyone. Indore is one such city that echoes with the glorious past of the state. A smart city with a royal past. From acting as the trading hub between Deccan and Delhi in the 16th century to the commercial capital of the state. It has a lot to offer to its visitors. The historic Rajwada palace to Sarafa bazaars culinary delights along with much more architectural marvels. Situated close to Indore is Maheshwar. It lies on the north bank of the river Narmada. An ancient religious town, it has many stories of times gone by. Also, it appears in many movies like Pad Man, Ashoka and many more.


• Rajwada Palace (A seven-storied magnificent palace) • Sarafa Bazar (The legendary food street) • Maheshwar (An ancient temple town) • Holkar Fort (A legendary fort of the Holkar dynasty) • Kaanch Mandir (A famous Jain temple built entirely of glass) • Hoshang Shah’s Tomb (A marble marvel dating back to the 6th century) • Mandu Fort (One of India's largest fort) • Jahaz Mahal (A fort that is shaped like a ship)

Public Transport



Day 0 : • Pack your bags cause we are going to the heartland of India. We meet at a common pickup point and leave via public transport for Dhamnod. Day 1 : • We will reach Dhamnod and reach Maheshwar via local transport. • Keep your eye out for the ancient structures and Narmada river as we approach Maheshwar. • We will freshen up, have breakfast and set off to explore the beautiful temples and forts of Maheshwar. • Post exploring Maheshwar, we will leave for Indore. • We will use local transport again and reach Indore. We will reach by afternoon, check into a local accommodation and rest till sundown. • Around 8 in the evening, we will head to the legendary Sarafa Bazar. Indulge in lots of Poha, Kachori, and Malpua. • Post Sarafa, head back to our accommodation. Day 2 : • Rise and shine people! we will leave for Mandav early in the morning and reach by afternoon. • We will check into our local accommodation in Mandav for the night. Once done freshening up, we will leave to explore the forts and other structures. • Post sundown, we will attend the sound and light show in the Hindola Mahal. Day 3: • Wake up early and set off to explore the remaining part of Mandu. • We will visit Roopmati Pavillion, Baz Bahadur's palace, Hoshang Shah's tomb, Jami Masjid, Ashrafi Mahal, Champa Baoli. • Once done, we will bid adieu to Mandu and head to Dhamnod to catch our bus back to Pune by 08:00 p.m. Day 4: • Reach Pune by 5:00 a.m. Trip Concludes with Happy memories.

It was my first ever trip and camping.... And people at Pune Travel Club made it really special for me. Considering the heavy rush for New Years I understand a few things might go here and there but overall I just loved it. Camping at Kashid... Beachside Campfire... Next day Beautiful scenary at the beach and water sports.... It was a special start of the New Year for me. Thanks a lot Pune Travel Club team.

It was my first ever trekking experience and PTC made it worthwhile. Enjoyed a lot....Went with a very nice group from Pune to Bhandardara Fireflies festival..... Policy and Terms

If an event is called off at the last moment due to a natural calamity/unforeseen circumstances (like rains, earthquake, landslides, strike, bandh, etc), Pune Travel Club will issue a trek voucher for the full amount. The voucher can be redeemed for the same trek or another trek in six months. In case, you wish to cancel your trek, please email us on [email protected] Cancellation requests will not be taken over the phone or WhatsApp. The cancellation charges are as under • Cancellations prior to 15 days from the start of the event/trek/backpacking trip - full refund. • Cancellation between 15 days and 2 days to the start of the event/trek/backpacking trip - 50% refund. • Cancellation less than 2 days to the start of the event/trek/backpacking trip - no refund. Please note: In case of refund, there will be a deduction of 5% (cancellation charges) from the total fee you have paid

Terms and Conditions

1. Alcohol and smoking are strictly disallowed on treks. If found, trekking under influence of drugs or drinks you’ll be barred from the trek. And our responsibility ceases with you. 2. Littering is strictly not allowed on treks. Do not leave empty plastic bottles, biscuit or chocolate wrappers behind. We have to carry our own garbage/leftovers back to the city. 3. Wear proper loose fitting clothes no jeans pants allowed. Try and wear full sleeve top and long bottoms or pants. Will spare you from mosquitoes, insect bites or thorny bushes (your choice). 4. Talk to the native villagers gently and give respect to them. Cause we are their guests. 5. Do not carry lots of cash, gold or any valuables. We are not responsible for the loss. 6. Please follow instructions given by trek leads and organizers. Do not debate with any organizer. All instructions are for the participants' benefit. 7. Let's respect and admire nature together. Also, be careful about flora.
