Saturday, 5 August

• The day starts at leisure. Post breakfast, we will explore some local sightseeing places around Leh. Remember we are taking it slow and the acclimatization process is still on.
• We will cover the Sangam or the confluence of Indus and Zanskar rivers, Pathar Sahib Gurudwara, Magnetic Hill, Hall of Fame War Memorial. 
• Lunch in Leh.
• Light & Sound Show at Hall of Fame War Museum.
• Dinner & overnight stay in Leh

Sunday, 6 August

• Check out and proceed to Alchi.
• Lunch will be at the famed Alchi Kitchen led by Nilza Wangmo. Visit Alchi Gompa – mainly known for its magnificent and well-preserved 11th & 12th-century wall paintings.
• Proceed to Kargil. En route, we will pass the surreal Lamayuru or Moonland
• Dinner & overnight stay at Kargil.

Monday, 7 August 

• Post breakfast, check out and proceed to Drass to visit the Drass War Memorial, also known as Vijay Memorial which was built in memory of the martyr soldiers of the 1999 Kargil War. The museum at this war memorial exhibits army emblems, models of the Himalayan Mountain Range and archives of the documents. This is a proud and emotional experience.
• Lunch in Kargil. Post lunch, journey back to Leh
• Dinner & overnight stay in Leh

Tuesday, 8 August

• Today is a leisurely day. We will visit the Leh Palace and Shanti Stupa – built to promote world peace and prosperity and to commemorate the 2500 years of Buddhism. We will also explore the city market & shops in Leh market.

Wednesday, 9 August 

• Following an early breakfast, we will proceed to the incredibly beautiful Pangong Tso via Chang La (La means ‘Pass’ in Tibetan) pass which is one of the world’s highest motorable passes. We will visit the Thiksey Monastery en-route. Lunch en-route.
• Arrive at Pangong Tso by late evening. Catch the sunset by the lake.
• Dinner and overnight at Pangong Tso.

Thursday, 10 August

• Early departure to Nubra Valley. This is a long, arduous, but scenic journey through mountains, rocky river beds and quaint villages along the Shyok River.
• Lunch en route.
• En route, we also visit the 32-metre statue of Maitreya Buddha near Diskit Monastery facing down the Shyok River towards Pakistan.
• By evening we arrive at the Nubra Valley, where the Shyok River meets the Siachen River to form a large valley separating the Ladakh and Karakoram ranges. We also visit the Cold desert and experience a camel ride through the desert.
• Dinner & overnight stay at Nubra Valley.

Friday, 11 August

• Day trip to Turtuk. One of the northernmost villages in the country. Turtuk was under Pakistani control until the war of 1971 when the Indian Army captured the village. Turtuk is the last outpost of Indian-controlled Ladakh, after which the Pakistan-controlled region of Gilgit-Baltistan begins. We will also visit Thang, which is the last village from where we can observe the Pakistan border.
• Curated lunch at the Balti Kitchen. Return back to Nubra
• Dinner & overnight stay at Nubra Valley

Saturday, 12 August

• Depart for Leh through Khardung La (one of the highest motorable roads in the world).
• Lunch en-route.
• Arrive in Leh and the remainder of the day is to relax and reminisce about the last 9 days.
• Overnight stay in Leh.

Sunday, 13 August

• Breakfast & check-outs.
• Drop at the airport according to the flight timings.
• Depart for home destinations with wonderful memories and a promise to come back to Ladakh to explore the things we missed out on the first time!
