Saturday, 29 August

• The day starts at leisure. Post breakfast, we will explore some local sightseeing places around Leh. Remember, we are taking it slow, and the acclimatisation process is still on.
• We will cover the Sangam or the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers, Pathar Sahib Gurudwara, Magnetic Hill, and Hall of Fame War Memorial. 
• Lunch in Leh.
• Light & Sound Show at Hall of Fame War Museum.
• Dinner & overnight stay in Leh

Sunday, 30 August

• Check out and proceed to Kargil with some sightseeing en route.
• Lunch will be at the famed Alchi Kitchen led by Nilza Wangmo. Visit Alchi Gompa – mainly known for its magnificent and well-preserved 11th & 12th-century wall paintings.
• Proceed to Kargil. En route, we will pass the surreal Lamayuru region, also known as Moonland
• Dinner & overnight stay at Kargil.

Monday, 31 August

• Post breakfast, check out and proceed to Drass to visit the Drass War Memorial, also known as Vijay Memorial, which was built in memory of the martyred soldiers of the 1999 Kargil War. The museum at this war memorial exhibits army emblems, models of the Himalayan Mountain Range and archives of the documents. This is a proud and emotional experience.
• Lunch in Kargil. Post lunch, journey back to Leh
• Dinner & overnight stay in Leh

Tuesday, 1 September

• Today is a leisurely day. We will visit the Leh Palace and Shanti Stupa – built to promote world peace and prosperity and to commemorate 2500 years of Buddhism. We will also explore the city market & shops in the Leh market in the evening.

Wednesday, 2 September

• Following an early breakfast, we will proceed to the incredibly beautiful Pangong Tso through the mighty Changla Pass, one of the highest motorable roads in the world.
• Visit the Thiksey Monastery & the Druk Padma Karpo School en route
• Arrive at Pangong Tso by late afternoon. Spend time by the lake.
• Dinner and overnight at Pangong​​​​​​.

Thursday, 3 September 

• After breakfast, proceed to the Nubra Valley. This journey is through the Shyok River which will keep us company throughout our journey. This is a long journey through some of the most secluded, but the most beautiful regions in Ladakh. Long patches of mountains that change colour, rocky river beds and quaint villages.
• By evening, we arrive at the Nubra Valley, where the Shyok River meets the Siachen River to form a large valley separating the Ladakh and Karakoram ranges. We visit the Cold Desert and experience a camel ride through the desert.
• Dinner & overnight stay at Nubra Valley. 

Friday, 4 September 

• After a sumptuous breakfast, we head for a day trip to Turtuk. One of the northernmost villages in the country. Turtuk was under Pakistani control until the war of 1971, when the Indian Army captured the village. Turtuk is the last outpost of Indian-controlled Ladakh, after which the Pakistan-controlled region of Gilgit-Baltistan begins. We might also get to Thang, which is the last village from where we can observe the Pakistan border. (Only if the government permits)
• Curated lunch at the Balti Kitchen. Return to Nubra
• Dinner & overnight stay at Nubra Valley​​​​​​.

Saturday, 5 September 

• After breakfast, depart for Leh through Kardunga-La, one of the highest motorable passes in the world. Today, we also visit the 32-metre statue of Maitreya Buddha near Diskit Monastery facing down the Shyok River towards Pakistan.
• Post lunch, arrive in Leh. The remainder of the day is to relax and reminisce about the last 9 days.
• Overnight stay in Leh

Sunday, 6 September

• Breakfast & check-outs.
• Drop at the airport according to the flight timings.
• Depart for home destinations with wonderful memories and a promise to come back to Ladakh to explore the things we missed out on the first time!
