At the end of every monsoon, the Kaas Plateau transforms. For a few fleeting weeks, its grasslands come alive with wild flowers, seasonal streams and a remarkable diversity of plant life.
Join In Other Places & The Western Routes for a day at Kaas where we’ll go beyond simply looking at the flowers. We’ll spend time understanding the ecology of the plateau, learning about its unique landscape and spotting some of the rare and endemic species that make Kaas so special.

What will we do ?
Private Vehicle (AC Coach)

Breakfast, Lunch (Tea & snacks included)
5:45 AM sharp – Assemble opp Nisarg Hotel at Nal Stop
6:00 AM – Depart for Kaas. We will have another pickup at Santosh Hall on Sinhagad Road at 6:10 AM
8:00 AM - Breakfast en route
10:00 AM – Reach the Kaas Plateau. Explore the plateau and watch the different flowers with an expert.
12:30 PM – Leave Kaas and proceed for lunch
3:30 PM - Post lunch, head to this historic Baramotechi Vihir at Limb village.
5:00 PM – Depart for Pune with tea & snacks en-route
8:00 PM - ETA in Pune

- Anything not mentioned in the ‘includes’ list.
Things to carry
- Personal Water bottle
- Good quality walking shoes or floaters. Please do not wear high-heeled sandals or flip-flops
- Rain-wear and / or sun wear. The weather is erratic with spells of rain and sun. Carry umbrellas or any other protective gear against rain and sun.
- An extra set of dry clothes
- A light, warm jacket or pullover as it might get chilly in the evening.
- Mosquito repellent if you are prone to insect bites.
- Personal medicines (We will have a basic first-aid kit with medicines, but if you require any special medicines, please carry them)
- Carry some plastic bags or protective gear for your camera and phones
