The jungle is a mystic place. It has its own persona, its own way of maintaining order, and its own set of rules. The law of the jungle is strict and, from bug to beast, it is common for all- survival of the fittest! Even so, it thrives and expands in ways beyond our imagination; so is the case with Kanha! Lush green sal forests, dense bamboo population, vast expanses of meadows, and the frequent presence of water bodies create a scenic landscape. Together, they make up for a whopping 2000 sq. km. of wildlife heaven! Highlights - • Home to a good & healthy population of tigers. • Highly acclaimed for conservation of Hardground & Barahsingha - a species only found in Kanha • Dominated by the enchanting Sal trees and a variety of spectacular landscapes. • Home to Baigas, one of the primitive tribes of India, who have lived in these jungles for hundreds of years. • Manglu Baiga, a senior member of the Baiga tribe, helped the forest officials in conservation of tigers in more than one ways, and was honoured with Wildlife Service Award in 2004. • One of the best managed national parks in India.
Highlights
We will also be exploring the tribal culture of Baigas in our visit. Being the jungle men, their lives have always been closely associated with Mother Nature and they know the jungle inside out! After all, it is their home! We will be visiting their village and learning about their ways of living. With the tribals come tribal art! On our camp, we will meet some extraordinary artisans and will interact with them to get insights into lives of Baigas.

We had an amazing time with Paresh and his team! I was in a group of ten law students and two professors and the Footloose team tailored the trip to our interests (environmental law, policy, and endangered species protection and conservation).
We met with a top tiger conservationist and learned about efforts to protect tiger habitat in central India. We stayed in a stunning resort for two days just outside Kahna National Park and took several beautiful rides through the park and saw some incredible wildlife. Footloose also arranged for us to meet with some of the people who were displaced when the park was formed so we could learn about their way of life and how they work to protect the forest.
I definitely recommend planning a trip with Footloose Journeys. They are very responsive and easy to work with.

Policy and Terms
• Advance Camp Fees - Non refundable. • If cancelled more than 30 days before departure - 40% of total camp fees will be retained by organisers. • If cancelled within 15 to 30 days before departure - 65% of total camp fees will be retained by organisers. • If cancelled within 7 to 14 days before departure - 80% of total camp fees will be retained by organisers. • If cancelled less than 7 days before departure - 90% of total camp fees will be retained by organisers.
Terms and Conditions
1. Footloose Journeys reserve the right to cancel / modify any camp having regard to force majeure situations including natural calamities, strikes, riots, political unrest etc. 2. Footloose Journeys shall endeavor to provide best possible alternative arrangements for transport & accommodation in case situations referred to in Point No. 1 above exist. 3. Any additional cost of such alternative arrangements for transport & accommodation is to be reimbursed / borne by campers. 4. Campers shall have no right to claim damages / losses arising from force majeure situations. 5. It is prime responsibility of Footloose Journeys to give its campers the best of experiences and enjoyment in a safe environment. However, Footloose Journeys shall not be responsible for any injury / disability / loss of life caused due to any accident during the camp. 6. Campers will have to make an advance payment of INR 10,000 to book their seat. The balance amount will have to be paid in full a minimum of 15 days prior to departure. 7. The above terms & conditions, and cancellation policy are enforceable in the court of law at Pune district, Maharashtra, India.
